Fulham have blown hot and cold all season and we’re hoping to catch them on an off-day when Middlesbrough visit for Friday night’s Championship clash.
Boro have really impressed us over the past month, notably claiming wins at West Brom and Preston, as well as testing Tottenham in the FA Cup.
We think 19/20 for the visitors to extend their unbeaten run in this division to six games is the way to go with our first Fulham vs Middlesbrough prediction.
A Look At Fulham’s Betting Odds
Fulham are fourth in the table after following up a 2-1 FA Cup triumph over Aston Villa by winning 1-0 at Hull in the Championship.
However, while Ivan Cavaleiro settled an otherwise lukewarm encounter at KCOM Stadium with a flash of magic after 29 minutes, talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic was carried off with an ankle injury.
Boss Scott Parker said: “The second half turned into a typical Championship game – it was not vintage by any stretch of the imagination.
“We realise how tough this division is and at times we’ve shown how brilliant we can be this season.
“On the flip side, we can be a bit inconsistent, but we showed another side to us here. We dug in and showed massive character.”
That hasn’t always been the case, though, with a New Year’s Day defeat by Reading being their fourth home loss of the campaign.
Boro have been far more solid early on recently, conceding only one first-half goal in their last eight league games.
Looking at the Fulham vs Middlesbrough odds, we reckon 7/2 for the visitors to be ahead at the interval is good value.
A Look At Middlesbrough’s Betting Odds
Middlesbrough showed plenty of spirit in two cup clashes with Spurs, drawing 1-1 at the Riverside and then only going down 2-1 in London.
The Teessiders were always facing an uphill battle after conceding two goals in the opening 15 minutes of Tuesday’s replay, but claimed a late consolation through George Saville.
Midfielder Adam Clayton said on BBC Tees: “We dug in. A lot of teams would have been done three, four, five, they have done that to teams in the Premier League.
“We could have nicked it at the end, taken it to extra-time, but it wasn’t to be.
“Friday (against Fulham) is the most important thing and we are straight on recovery and getting ready for that.”
Boro drew 2-2 with Derby in their last league game following a run of four straight victories.
They will hope to hold Fulham in the second half here, as the Cottagers have drawn that period seven times in eight Championship matches.
Let’s finish off our Fulham vs Middlesbrough betting tips by taking 31/20 for both teams to score the same number of goals after the break.
Hull 0-1 FULHAM – Ivan Cavaleiro
Tottenham 2-1 MIDDLESBROUGH – George Saville
Head-to-head: Middlesbrough 0-0 Fulham, Middlesbrough 0-1 Fulham, Fulham 1-1 Middlesbrough
