Dallas bounced back from losing consecutive games with a 3-1 comeback win at Orlando before the international break as they look to maintain their strong start to the season.
Nico Estevez’s side are second in the Western Conference, but they lost 2-1 to Vancouver last month, although the Canadians’ home form is in stark contrast to their results on the road, which have been woeful.
The hosts have scored and conceded in their last four games, so a home win and goals at both ends looks a decent prospect at 3.25 as our opening FC Dallas vs Vancouver Whitecaps prediction.

Dallas overcame a half-time deficit to win at the Exploria Stadium at the end of May when USA international Paul Arriola, who had a nightmare loan spell with Swansea City in the English second division in the 2020-21 season, scored twice to make it six goals in his last five appearances.

The Caps’ terrible away form shows no sign of abating as they went down to a seventh defeat in eight on the road this season with a crushing 4-0 loss to Cascadia rivals Seattle, which snapped their two-game winning run.
Their only away victory came at bottom-of-the-table Kansas, so they have some work to do if they are to put an end to their travel sickness.
Head coach Vanni Sartini said: “It was 100 per cent not our game. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong and it’s our fault mainly.
“It’s our fault because the way that we started the game was not intense enough, not locked in enough to do what you’re supposed to do.
“I think it’s a good reminder that if you’re not performing at the top of our skills, we’re gonna lose against every team.”
The Whitecaps at least have good memories of their last encounter with Dallas two weeks ago, when Lucas Cavallini scored a stoppage-time penalty to pinch the points.
However, the visitors were missing first-choice goalkeeper Maarten Paes and winger Alan Velasco that night.
Paes’ replacement Jimmy Maurer was partly to blame for the match-winner, having made a mess of a simple through-ball, so Estevez’s side already looks stronger.
