Vancouver have always had a decent record when visiting LA Galaxy and will travel to Dignity Health Sports Park in good spirits this weekend.

The Whitecaps have lost only one of the last four renewals of this fixture and their overall away record versus the Galaxy is four wins, two draws and three defeats.

We like 2.25 for the Canadian outfit to pick up at least a point again here for our first LA Galaxy vs Vancouver Whitecaps prediction.

Los Angeles Galaxy Odds

LA are ninth in the Western Conference, level on points with their next opponents, albeit having played one match less.

The Galaxy have lost five of their last six MLS fixtures following a 4-2 reversal at Kansas City.

Javier Hernandez bagged a late brace at Sporting Park but the damage had already been done, with the hosts 3-0 up at half-time.

“We just need to do the basics better, basically all over the pitch,” said goalkeeper Jonathan Bond.

“We need to lose the ball less. People need to stay in their positions and do the right thing, including myself.”

Adding former Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig to Greg Vanney’s squad will help and LA did beat Atlanta in their last home game.

However, slow starts have plagued them of late and 2.85 for the visitors to score first appeals from the LA Galaxy vs Vancouver Whitecaps odds.

Vancouver Whitecaps Odds

Vancouver did us a favour when producing a late flourish to edge out Houston 2-1, with our match preview featuring a trio of successful selections.

The Whitecaps had Cristian Dajome, Florian Jungwirth, Marcus Godinho and Luis Martins missing due to Covid protocols, plus Brian White nursing a rib injury.

Things looked bleak when Fabrice-Jean Picault put the Dynamo ahead early on but Simon Becher finally equalised in the 88th minute.

That wasn’t enough for Vanni Sartini’s side, though, and Lucas Cavallini fired in a dramatic decider in stoppage time.

“I think this should be in the highlight reel if we make the play-offs,” declared head coach Sartini.

“We need to be better in starting the game and be ourselves from the beginning,” he added.

“In order to go to the play-offs, we need to have games where we are out in front at the end of the first half, for sure.”

Being without Cavallini due to an accumulation of yellow cards will hurt but we reckon Ryan Gauld is due a goal.

The Scot has gone four games without scoring since grabbing his third of the season in a 2-2 draw at Cincinnati.

Let’s add 4.333 for him to net at any time here to our LA Galaxy vs Vancouver Whitecaps betting tips.
