UEFA Europa League odds: Bayer Leverkusen & Xabi Alonso now odds-on

Bayer Leverkusen are the odds-on favourites in the UEFA Europa League odds, according to bwin, after seeing off Roma to progress to the final of the competition. bwin has Bayer Leverkusen as the favourites in the latest UEFA Europa League odds, ahead of their opponents Atalanta, who produced a real statement of intent with their trashing of Liverpool in the quarter-finals, beating Marseille in the semi-finals last night.

UEFA Europa League odds

Bayer Leverkusen – 21/50

Bayer Leverkusen play some of the most attractive football in Europe right now, and a lot of that has to do with their incredibly exciting manager, Xabi Alonso. Many felt that next season, Alonso would be managing Liverpool in the Champions League next season, but the 2010 World Cup winner has announced that he’ll be staying with the German side for at least another year. Alonso’s focus remains solely on Leverkusen and winning Europa League with the German club, which they’re now the favourites to do, having already secured the Bundesliga title. Given how well they’ve played this year, it’s also not surprising to see the German outfit, who played West Ham in the last eight and beat Roma in the last four, priced as the favourites in the UEFA Europa League odds, at 21/50.

Atalanta – 9/5

Next up are Atalanta, who are in finals of the UEFA Europa League after surprisingly beating Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield in the first-leg of their last eight tie, and seeing off Marseille in the semi-finals. They’ve been in decent form this year domestically too, finding themselves in fifth place in the Serie A, with a real shot at qualifying for next season’s Champions League. With odds of 9/5, Atalanta could be an interesting shout to win the Europa League this year, although not many are expecting them to end Leverkusen’s unbeaten run and emerge with the trophy later on this month. bwin has also looked at the latest Champions League odds, with Real Madrid the clear favourites to win the competition for the 15th time after it was confirmed that they’ll face Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley Stadium on June 1.
