Football accumulator tips: Five picks from this weekend

We’ve got five selections this weekend’s games across Europe for our latest football accumulator tips, eyeing a near-17/1 pay-out.

Newcastle to beat Sheffield United @ 23/100

We kick off our European football acca in England, with Sheffield United’s trip to St James Park to play Newcastle in the Premier League, where we’re predicting a win for Eddie Howe’s side.

Newcastle beat Sheffield United 8-0 when the teams met earlier in the seasons, and despite dealing with injury problems, they’re in pretty good form in the Premier League right now, which is why we’re predicting that they’ll beat the Blades on Saturday.

Our pick is also on the basis that Sheffield United are right in the relegation mix, and a loss this weekend could see them demoted to the Championship, if others results fail to go their way.

Given Sheffield United’s form, and Newcastle’s positive performances of late, the home side to pick up the win here, with odds of 23/100, forms the first leg of our acca.

Real Sociedad to beat Real Madrid @ 29/20

Real Madrid have nothing to play for in La Liga right now after wrapping up the title last week in a win over Barcelona, however, they’re still firmly in the mix for the Champions League.

Real are the favourites to win the competition for the 15th time, and are preparing to face Bayern Munich in the semi-finals next week. As such, we’re expecting them to massively rotate against Real Sociedad, giving their opponents a real shot at winning.

Sociedad aren’t a better team than Real Madrid when both sides have their full strength squads out on the field, but Los Blancos will almost definitely field some fringe players here ahead of their big game next week, which is why we’re pegging them to lose.

Bayer Leverkusen to beat or draw with Stuttgart @ 22/100

Like Real Madrid, Leverkusen have already won their domestic league, so on the face of it, all their attention should be on their Europa League tie against Roma next week, but that isn’t how things are going to work.

Xabi Alonso will be trying to go the full Bundesliga season without losing, so we aren’t expecting him to field a starting XI that’s quite as weak as the one that will likely be lining up for Real Madrid on Friday night.

Despite Stuttgart being the surprise package of the Bundesliga this year, we’re expecting Leverkusen to maintain their unbeaten run with yet another win or draw, which is the third-leg of our European football acca here.

Roma and Napoli to draw @ 13/5

From Leverkusen to the team they’ll be facing off against in the Europa League semi-final, it’s Roma, and we’re predicting that Danielle De Rossi’s side draw with Napoli in Serie A this weekend.

Roma have been in top form since De Rossi took over from Jose Mourinho as manager, losing only to Inter Milan, and they’ll have their sights firmly set on playing in the Champions League next season, given that they’re firmly in the mix for the top four.

Napoli have had a really quite poor season, despite winning the competition last year, but they still have some top players on their books, which is why we’re going for a draw here.

PSG to beat Le Harve @ 33/100

PSG will win Ligue 1 once again if they manage to beat Le Harvey at home this weekend, and we’re expecting them to do it.

The French side do have a Champions League semi-final tie with Dortmund to think about this weekend, but they should still be able to have one eye on that game whilst also beating Le Harve, who find themselves in the relegation play-off place in France’s top-flight.

With odds of 33/100, PSG beating Le Harve to win Ligue 1 this weekend isn’t exactly a longshot, but really don’t be too surprised to see it come in.
