Football accumulator tips: Five picks from this weekend

We’ve got five selections this weekend’s games across Europe for our latest football accumulator tips, eyeing a near-20/1 pay-out.

Tottenham to beat Newcastle @ 1.3/1

We kick off our European football acca in England, with Tottenham’s trip to St James Park to play Newcastle in the Premier League, where we’re predicting a win for Ange Postecoglu’s side.

Spurs have won three of their last five games and are in pretty good form in the Premier League right now, which is why we’re predicting that they’ll beat Newcastle on Saturday. Our pick is also on the basis that Newcastle are dealing with yet another major injury crisis, with several of their key players out with long-term injuries.

Given Spurs’ form, and Newcastle’s long injury list, the away side to pick up the win here, with odds of 1.3/1, could be worth a punt.

Atletico Madrid to beat Girona @ 1.96/2

From England to sunny Spain, where we’re going for Atletico Madrid to pick up all three points in their next league outing against Girona, who for a period of time at the beginning of the season, were actually top of the league.

Girona’s form may have dropped off over the last few months, but they’re still in third place, a position that many fans and pundits simply didn’t even think was possible for them at the beginning of the season.

Girona are seven points ahead of Atletico at this stage of the season, but we’re predicting that the gap is going to narrow to just four points this weekend, with Atletico picking up the win against their La Liga rivals, just days before the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Dortmund, which they’re expected to emerge victorious from.

Bayer Leverkusen to beat Werder Bremen @ 1.14/6

This weekend could be huge for Bayer Leverkusen, who are expected to be crowned Bundesliga champions before the beginning of next week.

All Xabi Alonso’s side need is one win to be crowned Champions of Germany’s top-flight, which will happen if Bayern Munich lose on Saturday, or if they beat Werder Bremen on Sunday, which we’re pegging them to do.

Despite coming up against a strong West Ham defence, Bayer managed to score two late goals in the Europa League, which they’re now favourites to win after Liverpool’s shock 3-0 loss to Atalanta. Things are going very well for Atalanta this season, and we expect that to continue here.

Brest to beat Lyon @ 2.2/1

Each top league in Europe has had somewhat of a surprise package this season, who have majorly punched above their weight and exceeded expectations domestically. In England, it’s Aston Villa and in Spain it’s Girona, but in France, Ligue 1 fans have been blown away by just how well Brest have played.

Brest are second in French top-flight this year, and if all goes to plan, will be playing Champions League football next season. Their ten points behind PSG in the table, but with the French giants not playing this weekend, we expect the gap to narrow to seven points.

Lyon are now tenth, owing a lot to their horrific form at the beginning of the campaign. While things have been better for them over the last few months, we’re still predicting that Brest beat them this weekend.

Inter Milan to beat Cagliari @ 1/5

We finish off our European football acca in Italy, where we’re predicting a win for Inter Milan against Cagliari

Inter have been in top form this year, and will find themselves scratching their heads as to how they’re now preparing for a second-leg Champions League quarter-final this weekend. However, after losing on penalties to Atletico Madrid last month, they’re out of Europe’s top club competition.

However, Inter will almost definitely get their hands on silverware this season. After 31 games, Inter have 14 more points than AC Milan, who’re in second at the time of writing, and are widely expected to be crowned Serie A champions this campaign. We expect Inter to pick up yet another win this weekend, beating Cagliari, with odds of 1/5.
