Montreal did us a favour when winning at Charlotte as underdogs over the weekend and are now also backed to avoid defeat at Nashville.
Wilfried Nancy’s side are unbeaten in their last eight matches and shooting up the MLS table following a poor start to the current campaign.
They are yet to beat their next opponents from four attempts, though, so 3.3 for a draw looks the way to go with our first Nashville SC vs CF Montreal prediction.
Nashville SC Odds
Nashville made a solid start to the season with four wins and three draws from their first 10 games, despite eight of those being road trips.
However, they were below par in a 2-0 loss at Houston on Sunday, especially as the Dynamo were down to 10 men for almost an hour.
Head coach Gary Smith told the MLS website: “The display from an awful lot of individuals that were on the team is nowhere near the standard that we’ve been able to set.
“The only thing I can say is I’ve not seen a performance like that before and I truly hope I don’t see one again.”
One possible excuse was a hangover from Nashville’s thrilling 3-2 comeback win over Atlanta in the US Open Cup in midweek.
Smith’s changes may have highlighted a lack of strength in depth, but a more established starting XI is expected here.
In the two matches played so far at impressive new stadium GEODIS Park, all four goals scored have come after the break.
Looking at the Nashville SC vs CF Montreal odds, we like 2.1 for more goals to come in the second half again.
CF Montreal Odds
After losing their first three games of the season, Montreal made it six wins out of eight when prevailing 2-0 at Charlotte.
Djordje Mihailovic and Alistair Johnston struck to end their hosts’ four-match winning streak at Bank of America Stadium.
That victory also put Montreal top of the Eastern Conference table and they have built up plenty of momentum over the past couple of months.
Nancy said: “We continued to do good things. We are on a good run and the credit goes to the players.
“There is a confidence building since last year and the players are enjoying executing the game plans.”
Rising star Mihailovic is already being talked about for MLS MVP honours after scoring six times in the current unbeaten run.
The 23-year-old midfielder is 4.5 to add to that tally here and that completes our Nashville SC vs CF Montreal betting tips.
