CLICK TO BET:  West Ham (3/4),  Draw (49/20),  Blackpool (7/2)

With a squad packed full of Premier League pedigree and ‘Big’ Sam Allardyce at the helm, West Ham were many people’s pre-season picks for promotion. However, this being the Championship, things are rarely that simple.

It’s been a bit of a mixed bag for the Irons so far and glimpses of their quality against Watford and Cardiff have been laced with regular reminders of their inadequacies.

Their last four league games have seen them pick up just one win and after a two-week hiatus for international duty, a visit from Blackpool would not have been high on the agenda.

The Hammers received some bad news this week when their proposed move to the Olympic Stadium was vetoed and things at their current abode haven’t been going too smoothly either.

Last time out at Upton Park, Ipswich nabbed all three points, which is why bwin’s 3Way football betting market has West Ham at a longish 3/4 to beat Ian Holloway’s barmy tangerine army.

The Seasiders have also found acclimatising back to the rigours of the division taxing. They’re sat in seventh place, six points off the summit, and much like their hosts they’ve lurched from the sublime to the ridiculous.

A 5-0 hammering of Bristol City a fortnight ago should have dispelled some of the doubts but Blackpool have won just once on the road all season. Either way, a distant 7/2 for the win is enticing for a side capable of beating anybody on their day.

If you do fancy Blackpool for the win, back them to do so in a match with a few goals in it. New bwin customers receive a £25 free bet when they register and putting that on a Blackpool win with over 2.5 goals in the game at 6/1 could bring you in £175.

Alternatively, 2-1 to the visitors at 25/2 would land you £337.50 to spend on a day at the beach.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that these two shared a 0-0 draw here last season in a game which could easily have been 5-5.

Given the nature of the beast this is definitely one to leave off the accumulator and far from sitting on the fence, the draw at 49/20 could be the pick of the bunch.
