Swansea’s hopes of securing a place in the Championship play-offs have slipped of late but they have a good chance to get back on track when visiting Hull.
The Tigers look badly out of sorts after picking up just one point in six games and invariably struggle to break down teams from the top half of the table.
We’re snapping up 5/4 for an away win as our opening Hull vs Swansea prediction.
A Look At Hull City’s Betting Odds
Hull have not won since New Year’s Day and Grant McCann lamented his side’s defending and growing injury list following Tuesday’s 3-0 beating at Blackburn.
“We lack confidence a little bit, as does happen when you lose five of the last six league games,” admitted the Tigers boss.
“We don’t hide behind it, but it’s not ideal that we’ve got only 13 first-team players in the building.”
McCann’s men hit the bar and created other chances in an even first hour, but fell apart when conceding three quick goals after Darragh Lenihan’s 73rd-minute opener.
That period of the game has been a problem for Hull, who have conceded 11 times between 60:01 and 75 minutes, far higher than the average of 7.5.
The added worry for the Tigers here is that Swansea have scored a division-best 13 goals in the same time zone!
Looking at the Hull vs Swansea odds, that makes 13/5 for the visitors to net during this section stand out.
A Look At Swansea City’s Betting Odds
Swansea have taken only two points from their last four Championship games following a goalless draw at QPR, where they failed to muster a single shot on target.
Steve Cooper commented: “We know we can do better in the final third, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying.
“Our intention was to score, but QPR showed some resolute defending and we can do more in and around the box.
“We need a bit of confidence, a bit of risk-taking to make a difference. It didn’t happen, but we can do better and we will aim to.”
We still favour the Welsh outfit, who are seven points above Hull and had previously played well enough in a 1-1 draw at Preston and a 3-2 home loss to Derby.
However, with both teams struggling up front in midweek, 6/5 for at least one side to draw a blank at KCOM Stadium is worth adding to our Hull vs Swansea betting tips.
