West Brom fans will be dreaming of a return to the Premier League after three straight wins have helped them move six points clear at the top of the table.
Nottingham Forest are also still in the hunt for an automatic promotion spot, though, even if Tuesday’s home loss to Charlton was a hammer blow to their hopes.
In what should be a high-quality contest, we like 13/5 for a home win and both teams to score for our initial West Brom vs Nottingham Forest prediction.
A Look At West Brom’s Betting Odds
West Brom have recovered well from going seven league games without a win and followed up 2-0 triumphs over Luton and Millwall by prevailing 2-1 at Reading on Wednesday.
Albion went behind in the 11th minute at Madejski Stadium when defender Kyle Bartley handled in the area and George Puscas slotted home the penalty.
However, Matheus Pereira equalised midway through the first half and Bartley atoned for his error by heading in what turned out to be the winner four minutes into the second period.
“We went behind in an unfortunate way, but we didn’t panic and we kept calm and composed,” commented Baggies boss Slaven Bilic.
“We never lost belief in our quality. When we do that, we will always have the chance to win games.”
This should be a game worth watching right up until the final whistle, as both teams are adept at scoring late goals.
West Brom have grabbed a division-high 15 between 75:01 minutes and full-time, with Forest not far behind on 13.
Looking at the West Brom vs Nottingham Forest odds, we like Evens for a goal to be netted in that period at The Hawthorns.
A Look At Nottingham Forest’s Betting Odds
Forest looked a genuine threat to challenge for a top-two place when beating Leeds 2-0 last weekend, which was a sixth success in nine league games.
The Reds blotted their copybook when beaten 1-0 by Charlton at the City Ground on Tuesday, although Sabri Lamouchi accepted much of the blame for tinkering with his starting line-up too much.
Lewis Grabban, Samba Sow and Sammy Ameobi were all sidelined with minor injury problems, but Forest also left out Matty Cash and Yuri Ribeiro to make it five changes.
“It was a bad performance, a big opportunity missed and it was probably my mistake,” said Lamouchi.
“I changed things because we have a lot of games. We did not want to take a risk with anyone, but I take responsibility, absolutely.”
The Reds had scored in 10 straight Championship fixtures before that blip, so they can be expected to test Albion, as they did in two score draws last season and a 2-1 home loss earlier this term.
However, the Baggies have the bit between their teeth right now and we still prefer 31/4 for the hosts to prevail 2-1 again here to finish off our West Brom vs Nottingham Forest betting tips.
