Vancouver and Toronto are each looking for a response when they go head to head on Sunday.

The Canadian sides are in poor form, having both lost their last three matches.

The Whitecaps may have only won one all season but their recent record at BC Place is strong, so a home victory at 1.87 is our opening Vancouver vs Toronto prediction.

Vancouver Whitecaps Odds

Vancouver sit bottom of the Western Conference after losing six of their eight games this season.

A first-half brace from Maximiliano Urruti and Sebastian Driussi’s second-half strike gave Austin a 3-0 win on April 24, following on from Vancouver’s defeats to Montreal and Portland after getting off the mark against Kansas City earlier last month.

The Whitecaps now have four games at home in the space of a fortnight and can take comfort from their record in front of their own fans.

Since returning to BC Place last August, Vancouver have won eight, drawn two and lost two of their 12 matches here.

Head coach Vanni Sartini told the club’s official website: “We need to really focus on what is in front of us.

“We have a big chance with these four games in a row at BC Place to really get back on the right track immediately, and we need to take this chance.”

The Whitecaps won this fixture 3-2 last season and a victory by a 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 scoreline this time appeals at 4.75 in the Vancouver vs Toronto odds.

Toronto FC Odds

Toronto looked to have overcome a poor start under Bob Bradley with three wins during a four-game unbeaten run.

But a loss in New York City was followed by back-to-back defeats to Cincinnati, leaving them ninth in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto had a terrible start in the return fixture in Cincinnati on Thursday, conceding and having Ralph Priso-Mbongue sent off inside the opening six minutes, before Luciano Acosta’s penalty killed the game in the 57th minute.

Midfielder Luca Petrasso told the club’s official website: “That’s part of the journey. There’s going to be ups and downs. There’s going to be more downs than ups.

“We’ve just got to keep going, got to keep fighting. We just keep working every day, focus on the next game coming up Sunday against Vancouver.

“Learn, move past it, get back to training, focusing on Vancouver, and head out and try to come back with three points.”

Toronto have yet to win on the road this season, drawing two and losing three, and have conceded in all 10 outings this term.

They’ve netted in nine of those, while the Whitecaps have scored and conceded in four of their last six.

A home win and both teams to score at 3.40 completes our Vancouver vs Toronto betting tips.
