Cincinnati will look to continue their impressive recent away form when they travel to Montreal this weekend.
Pat Noonan’s side have won their last three on the road and face an Impact team who have lost their previous two MLS fixtures.
This looks too close to call, though, and a draw at 4.0 is our first Montreal vs Cincinnati betting prediction.
CF Montreal Odds
Montreal are looking to get back on track as, after recording six wins in an eight-match unbeaten run, they have suffered back-to-back defeats.
Having lost in Nashville, the Impact were beaten 2-1 at home to Real Salt Lake despite going ahead in the first minute courtesy of Djordje Mihailovic’s goal.
Justen Glad and Sergio Cordova struck in the second half to condemn Montreal to a 2-1 defeat, ending a three-game winning streak at the Saputo Stadium.
Head coach Wilfried Nancy, whose side won in the Voyageurs Cup this week, told Montreal’s official website: “I didn’t like the first few minutes. It’s not like us to give up the ball like that.
“In the second half, we took two goals in a row and we weren’t decisive. We can do much better. Our approach to the game lacked patience.”
Montreal won 4-3 in Cincinnati last month and this fixture usually produces goals, with 16 in two games either side of a goalless draw.
Montreal have had over 2.5 goals in 10 of their 13 fixtures this season, with the same happening in eight of Cincinnati’s games.
We expect plenty of goals again and over 3.5 is 2.45 in the Montreal vs Cincinnati odds.
Cincinnati Odds
Cincinnati also saw their impressive form end with a 3-2 home defeat to New England on Sunday.
They had previously won four in a row, including a double over Montreal’s Canadian rivals Toronto, but New England midfielder Thomas McNamara’s 89th-minute goal ended their winning streak.
Noonan told the club’s official website: “We have the pieces. We just didn’t do our job in the last 15 minutes. We had some guys that were cramping.
“Obviously, it was humid out there. But we’re still of the mind-set that whoever steps on the field, he’s going to help us get a result.”
Cincinnati followed up their win in Toronto with victories at Minnesota and Chicago, scoring two goals in three of their four wins on the road this term.
A 2-2 draw at 13.50 rounds off our Montreal vs Cincinnati betting tips.
