Montreal will be hoping to take advantage of Charlotte’s awful away form as they look to get back on track this weekend.
The Impact have lost three of their last four matches, but face a Charlotte side who have not won on the road all season.
Wilfried Nancy’s team will be strongly fancied and a home win at 1.85 is our first CF Montreal vs Charlotte FC prediction.
CF Montreal Odds
Goals from Djordje Mihailovic and Alistair Johnston gave Montreal a 2-0 win in Charlotte last month.
The victory extended the Impact’s unbeaten streak to eight matches, which included six wins, but since then their form has tailed off.
A 2-1 defeat in Nashville was followed by a home loss to Real Salt Lake by the same scoreline and, although they returned to winning ways against Cincinnati, they were beaten at Saputo Stadium again last time out.
Maximiliano Urruti’s 67th-minute goal gave 10-man Austin a 1-0 success, leaving Montreal fifth in the Eastern Conference.
The defeats to Real Salt Lake and Austin ended a three-match winning streak at home, leaving them with four wins and three losses in front of their own fans.
The Impact will take comfort from the fact that Charlotte are winless in their eight away matches this term, though.
Charlotte have entered half-time behind in five of those, while Montreal have opened the scoring five times at home.
The home side to be winning at half-time and full-time is 2.95 in the CF Montreal vs Charlotte FC odds.
Charlotte FC Odds
Since that defeat to Montreal, Charlotte have taken seven points from a possible 12, including wins over Vancouver and New York Red Bulls.
The draw with Columbus Crew on Sunday ensured interim head coach Christian Lattanzio remained unbeaten after two games following the sacking of Miguel Angel Ramirez.
The point was their second-ever on the road, keeping them three behind Montreal.
Erik Hurtado put Columbus Crew ahead before Andre Shinyashiki secured a 1-1 draw shortly after half-time.
Lattanzio told Charlotte’s official website: “My rule is that if I can’t win, at least I don’t want to lose.
“Towards the end, I could see they were doing a little bit of what Red Bulls did and throwing strikers and attacking players.
“So, I solidified. I wanted the team to come away with at least a point, and to try and give them the best chance.”
Despite only taking two points from 24 on their travels, Charlotte have scored in five of their eight away games, with Montreal only blanking once at home.
A home win with both teams scoring is 3.50 in the CF Montreal vs Charlotte FC betting tips.
