Inter Miami and Toronto have both put together a solid set of results in recent weeks and a close encounter is anticipated at DRV PNK Stadium.
The hosts have gone four games without defeat while the resurgent Reds are on a five-match unbeaten run which has pushed them up the table.
We feel 3.6 for these progressive outfits to share the spoils is a value bet for our first Inter Miami vs Toronto FC prediction.
Inter Miami Odds
Miami are just one spot outside of a play-off berth in the Eastern Conference after last weekend’s thrilling 3-2 triumph over third-placed New York City.
The Herons came from behind twice before inspired mid-season signing Alejandro Pozuelo snatched a late winner with his second goal of the game.
“Every disappointment that we’re having to suffer, we’ve got a team that’s committed, that keeps pushing forward,” said head coach Phil Neville.
“That is a great quality and that gives me great hope. We keep our feet on the ground. There’s a long way to go.”
Pozuelo will obviously be fired up when facing his former club here, with the 30-year-old striker having scored 26 times in 88 MLS appearances for Toronto.
Neville added of the Spaniard: “He’s a game changer for us, who makes plays, who creates things. He’s a leader, he’s a winner and he’s here to win.”
Both of these sides are at their best going forward, so 4.33 for a score draw is worth the extra risk from the Inter Miami vs Toronto FC odds.
Toronto FC Odds
Toronto will have been slightly frustrated to only draw 2-2 with a depleted New England team on home turf in midweek.
Italy international Federico Bernardeschi put the Reds ahead from the penalty spot with just over half an hour gone but the Revs struck either side of the break to forge ahead.
Alex Bono really should have done better with both goals as he could only parry out a low cross into the path of Thomas McNamara and was then beaten from a tight angle by Justin Rennicks.
Domenico Criscito’s spectacular volley from the edge of the area on 75 minutes at least rescued a point for Bob Bradley’s men, though.
However, Bradley still felt like it was more a case of two points dropped, with Lorenzo Insigne and Ayo Akinola missing chances.
He told The Record: “A good team on a night like tonight scores more than two goals, especially when you consider that one’s a penalty and one’s just the wonder strike.
“At 2-2, there’s real momentum to just finish the game and get a third, and we weren’t able to do that. So disappointed on that.”
Bradley added: “Some of the key moments tonight, I don’t think we were as sharp as we needed to be.
“For the number of times we were right around their box, I think we needed to do better.”
Toronto are still in the hunt to make the play-offs, though, as that result left them just three points behind their next opponents.
This promises to be an end-to-end encounter and 3.3 for both teams to score in the first half completes our Inter Miami vs Toronto FC betting tips.
