Northern Ireland’s World Cup hopes were dashed some time ago but they have been far from disgraced in Group C and can see off Lithuania.

Lithuania lost their first four qualifiers but the clash with Northern Ireland at LFF Stadium was a rare open contest.
They went down 1-0 when travelling to Switzerland and Bulgaria and were beaten 2-0 by Italy in Vilnius.
Last month brought a welcome 3-1 triumph over Bulgaria on home turf for former Hearts boss Valdas Ivanauskas, thanks to a late brace by Fedor Cyrnych.
However, Lithuania were quickly brought back down to earth when hammered 4-0 by an on-song Switzerland three days later.
Baraclough told the Irish FA’s official website: “We know the Lithuanians are strong, resolute and really compact.
“They had a good result at home to Bulgaria and have a new coach who is starting to implement things that he wants to get across to them and you can see that.”
