Norwich vs Everton: More woe for Canaries

Kick-off: 1800, 24/06/2020

Stadium: Carrow Road

TV: BBC

Norwich must pick themselves up following their poor performance against Southampton with victories now a necessity in their relegation battle.

The Canaries went down 3-0 at home to the Saints while Everton head to Norfolk on the back of a goalless draw in the Merseyside derby.

It is 19/20 for an away win and that is our initial Norwich vs Everton prediction.

A Look At Norwich City’s Betting Odds

Norwich never recovered from conceding twice inside the first 10 minutes of the second half and mustered just one shot on target.

It was a fifth defeat in seven Premier League games and left them six points behind West Ham in 17th with eight fixtures remaining.

Defender Timm Klose said: “We’re disappointed. We destroyed ourselves after the first 10 minutes of the second half.

“We have to take it, it is a mental challenge now. I’m positive that we can get as many points as possible in the next eight games.”

Norwich have now failed to score in five of their last six league matches and have the worst offence in the top flight with just 25 goals, while only Aston Villa have conceded more.

Everton’s clean sheet against Liverpool was their first in eight games which should give Daniel Farke’s side some encouragement as they look to do the league double having won 2-0 at Goodison Park in November.

Both those goals came in the second half with 42 (52.5 per cent) being scored in total in this period. When looking at the Norwich vs Everton odds, we like 21/20 for the most goals to be scored in the second half again.

Last Norwich line-up: Krul, Aarons, Godfrey, Klose, Lewis, Trybull, Buendia, McLean, Cantwell, Drmic, Pukki.

A Look At Everton’s Betting Odds

Everton came close to ending their long Merseyside derby drought with the draw extending the hosts’ run to 22 matches without victory in all competitions against their near-neighbours.

But for goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who saved Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s backheel, and a post, which Tom Davies struck from the rebound, Everton could have been celebrating a famous win.

Defender Michael Keane told evertonfc.com: “We are disappointed we have not won it. I know they had a lot of the ball but our work-rate and shape were unreal.

“And we had the best chances. I don’t remember them having a clear-cut chance, we had two good ones.

“It is a decent result but we wanted to win and, after the chances we had, we are a bit disappointed we didn’t.”

Everton will certainly be the more confident of the two teams and the first goal is going to be crucial, especially given Norwich’s fragility.

They have scored first in seven of their last 12 league games and are backed at 13/20 to do so again, which is our final Norwich vs Everton prediction.

Last Everton line-up: Pickford, Coleman, Holgate, Keane, Digne, Iwobi, Davies, Gomes, Gordon, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.
