Real Madrid will be expected to edge closer to claiming a first LaLiga title since 2012 when they entertain mid-table Alaves at the Bernabeu on Sunday afternoon.

The leaders have already beaten their opponents 4-1 away this term, when Cristiano Ronaldo hit a hat-trick, and will be keen to stay clear of arch rivals Barcelona.

Ronaldo has been in great form all season and continued that with Portugal in the international break. Looking at the Real Madrid vs Alaves odds, our tip is to take 11/10 for Ronaldo to bag at least another double here.

A Look At Real Madrid’s Betting Odds

Ronaldo has netted 19 times for Real Madrid in LaLiga during the current campaign and will be eyeing a late surge to catch Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at the top of the scoring charts.

Saturday’s double for Portugal in a 3-0 defeat of Hungary took his tally to nine in that World Cup qualifying group and the 32-year-old continues to fully justify all the plaudits heaped upon him.

As a team, Real have won nine from 11 but they have gone seven games without keeping a clean sheet, though, and with Alaves in a bullish mood following a good run of results, the hosts may feel they have to keep pushing forward to assure victory.

It is 5/4 for Real to win and both teams to score.

A Look At Alaves’ Betting Odds

Alaves can boast four victories from their last six LaLiga matches, with a useful 1-1 draw against Sevilla also featuring in that period, so they can be very happy with how they have fared back in the top flight for the first time in over a decade.

A shock 2-1 win over Barcelona at Camp Nou back in September set the stage for a promising campaign and they have since added another five victories on the road, so there is no lack of ambition there.

A 6-0 home loss to Barca in mid-February does possibly put things into perspective, however, and 17/20 for Real to prevail by more than two clear goals is still a solid option.
