Senegal will be looking to reach a second successive Africa Cup of Nations final when they face Burkina Faso on Wednesday.
Sadio Mane and Co began the tournament as favourites in the outright betting and remain on course to justify their status after cruising through to the last four.
They are firm favourites to win the first semi-final and 1.90 for the Lions of Teranga to avoid defeat in 90 minutes and over 1.5 total goals to be scored looks a solid pick as our first Burkina Faso vs Senegal prediction.
Burkina Faso Odds
Burkina Faso lost to hosts Cameroon in the opening match of the tournament but have bounced back well from that disappointment.
They finished second in their group thanks largely to a 1-0 win against Cape Verde, edged out Gabon on penalties in the round of 16 and then beat Tunisia 1-0 in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
Teenage Lorient forward Dango Ouattara put the Stallions ahead in first-half stoppage-time after a swift breakaway down the right.
With seven minutes left, Ouattara was sent off for catching Ali Maaloul with a stray elbow but Burkina Faso held on.
Four of the last five meetings between these teams have been drawn so a close game is expected, with Burkina Faso taking a ninth-minute lead when they last met in World Cup 2018 qualifying.
The Stallions have also scored first in all five of their matches at the Africa Cup of Nations and can be backed to do so once again at Burkina Faso vs Senegal odds.
Senegal doubled their goal tally at the tournament with a 3-1 victory over Equatorial Guinea and look to be improving heading into the business end of the Africa Cup of Nations.
They only managed one goal during the group stage before beating Cape Verde 2-0 and then reached the semi-finals on Sunday thanks to decisive contributions from substitutes Cheikhou Kouyate and Ismaila Sarr.
Crystal Palace midfielder Kouyate had only been on the pitch for two minutes when he capitalised on some woeful defending to restore Senegal’s lead after Jannick Buyla had cancelled out Famara Diedhiou’s opener.
Sarr then finished off a superb move 11 minutes from time as he made his first appearance for club or country since scoring in Watford’s 4-1 win over Manchester United on November 20.
Mane completed 90 minutes despite the worrying head injury he suffered during the last-16 tie against Cape Verde and the Liverpool forward set up the opening goal with a pinpoint pass to Diedhiou, allowing the Alanyaspor striker to fire home at the near post.
The Lions of Teranga look to have the better options to come off the bench and that could prove decisive again, so we’re backing Draw HT/Senegal FT at 4.33 as the last of our Burkina Faso vs Senegal betting tips.
