West Ham can hammer another nail in Norwich’s coffin and go a long way to easing their own relegation worries with victory at Carrow Road.
The Hammers slipped up at home to Burnley in midweek but produced a decent performance and had taken four points from their previous two home games.
The Canaries have lost six in a row so an away win looks good value at 11/10 as our opening Norwich vs West Ham prediction.
A Look At Norwich City’s Betting Odds
Norwich’s season has gone from bad to worse since the restart and it is only a matter of time before a return to the Championship is confirmed.
They at least ended a five-match goal drought in midweek when they took an early lead at Watford but it lasted only six minutes as they slipped to a 2-1 defeat.
Goalkeeper Tim Krul told the club’s official website: “We just have to take it on the chin.
“We don’t want this season to fizzle out, we need some reaction but it’s really hard. At the end of the day, it’s not good enough when you lose four or five in a row.
“Again, we showed good signs but it’s not good enough for this league. This league is unforgiving and we all know that little details change games.
“We’ve made big mistakes. I think everyone, not just one person, we need to all look in the mirror. That’s the big thing, from top to bottom we’ve all made mistakes.”
Scoring goals continues to be a problem and six of the last seven matches at Carrow Road have produced under 2.5 goals, a trend which we’re backing to continue at 19/20 in the Norwich vs West Ham odds.
Last Norwich line-up: Krul, Aarons, Godfrey, Lewis, Klose, Vrancic, Hernandez, Buendia, Stiepermann, Tettey, Pukki.
A Look At West Ham United’s Betting Odds
West Ham could not find a way past Burnley’s defence on Wednesday as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat but they have shown enough recently to suggest they can stay up.
The 3-2 win against Chelsea was a huge boost and they were perhaps unfortunate to have to settle for a 2-2 draw at Newcastle last weekend.
They had chances to equalise against Burnley but Michail Antonio, Tomas Soucek and record signing Sebastien Haller failed to convert them.
“I’m disappointed we didn’t take something from the game but you have to give Burnley credit for the way they defended,” said boss David Moyes.
“But we missed two or three outstanding chances. You don’t normally get that number of opportunities to win matches in the Premier League.”
Creating chances against Norwich’s defence should not be a problem and Antonio will be out to make amends for Wednesday’s miss, having scored in the previous two games.
He has been in fine form since the season resumed and Antonio to score first at 11/2 completes our Norwich vs West Ham betting tips.
Last West Ham line-up: Fabianski, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Diop, Fredericks, Fornals, Soucek, Antonio, Rice, Yarmolenko, Bowen.
