European football acca: Barcelona, PSG & Spurs to win

Our predictions are back, with bwin’s six-fold European football acca featuring picks from games in Spain, Germany, Italy, France, and of course, England.

The acca takes us to France for Paris Saint-Germain’s trip to RC Strasbourg, where we’re going with a win for the reigning French champions. The firepower of Kylian Mbappe, who has scored 18 goals in 19 games, will simply be too much for PSG’s opponents to handle.

This weekend’s six-fold European football acca can be backed with bwin’s, at the time of writing, with odds of 24.62/1

PSG to beat RC Strasbourg – 0.53/1

We kick things off on Friday evening with PSG’s trip to Strasbourg, who sit in 10th place in Ligue 1 going into the game. On paper, Mbappe’s PSG will be seen as the favourites, but their opponents this weekend are unbeaten in their last eight games, having not lost since their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Reims on December 1.

The two teams met in October, with PSG picking up an emphatic 3-0 home win, thanks to goals from Carlos Soler, Fabian Ruiz and the aforementioned Mbappe. We’re predicting more of the game for the French giants, with odds of 0.53/1 for them to beat Strasbourg.

Borussia Dortmund to beat FC Heidenheim – 0.77/1

Also on Friday evening is Dortmund’s trip to FC Heidenheim, who also sit in 10th place in their league, this time in the Bundesliga. Dortmund have been in top form in 2024, winning all three of their games, scoring 10 goals and only conceding one, which came against Vfl Bochum last weekend, and we’re predicting more domination for the side this time out, with a win for the away side priced with bwin at 0.77/1.

With the loan signings of Ian Maatsen and Jadon Sancho from the Premier League, Dortmund have added depth which they hope will lead to them consolodiating a place in the Champions League spots for next season, despite almost definitely being out of the title race already.

Bayer Leverkusen to beat Darmstadt – 0.3/1

On Saturday afternoon, the best team this year in the Bundesliga come up against the team in bottom place, as Bayer Leverkusen look to keep their unbeaten run going against Darmstadt, who have picked up just 11 points after the first 19 games.

Xabi Alonso’s side haven’t lost in the Bundesliga for the entirety of the 2023/24 season, and look to be taking the fight to Bayern Munich, hoping to end the German giant’s hold over the league title. The last time Bayern didn’t win the league was in 2012, when Jurgen Klopp was Dortmund manager, but with over half of the season having been played already, Leverkusen are on track to end the season as domestic champions, which would be a fantastic achievement.

Leverkusen will come up against several potential banana skins as they look to win the league, but we’re not predicting that their game against Darmstadt will be one, so with odds of 0.3/1, we’re going with a win for the away side.

Barcelona to beat Alaves0.85/1

From Germany to Spain, we’re going with another away win here with a pick of Barcelona to beat Alaves on Saturday afernoon. Barcelona haven’t actually been in the best form this year, finding themselves in fourth position in the league, ten points behind league leaders Real Madrid, and eight behind Girona, the campaign’s surprise package.

Alaves, on the other hand, sit in 11th place, having picked up seven wins and five draws in their first 22 games this season. They don’t look to be in danger of relegation, that’s for sure, but they’re also unlikely to be in the mix for the European places come the end of the season. Despite Barcelona’s relatively poor performances this season, and the announcement that manager Xavi Hernandez will be leaving the club at the end of the season, we’re pegging them to walk away with the win on Saturday, with odds of 0.85/1.

AC Milan to beat Frosinone Calcio – 0.66/1

AC Milan have been decent this season, finding themselves in third place. However, they’re unlikely to win the league come the end of the campaign, given that their arch rivals Inter Milan are eight points above them, with an additional game left to play too.

Despite that, the European superpower are still incredibly difficult to beat, as evidenced by the fact they’ve only lost four times this season. We’re predicting that they’ll beat Frosinone Calcio on Saturday, with odds of 0.66/1.

Tottenham to beat Everton – 1.37/1

The final pick our six-fold European acca takes us to Liverpool, where we’re picking Tottenham Hotspur, off the back of a 3-2 win over Brentford on Wednesday evening, to beat Everton at Goodison Park.

The game won’t be easy for Spurs, there’s no denying that, but with James Maddison fit and firing, and Ange Postecoglu now having his first choice back line available, they should simply have too much for Everton to deal with.

So, with odds of 1.37/1, we’re going with a Spurs victory this weekend.
