Odds: Marseille Evens, Draw 12/5, Monaco 13/5

Kick Off: 2000, 28/01/2018

Stadium: Stade Velodrome

TV: BT Sport

Marseille have made strong progress this season but past head-to-head form makes Monaco hard to resist at good odds when they meet at Stade Velodrome on Sunday.

The visitors have come out on top in all of their last five encounters, including a 6-1 thrashing at Stade Louis II at the start of this season.

Last term’s two Ligue 1 clashes also went Monaco’s way in convincing fashion, with scorelines of 4-0 and 4-1.

That evidence makes 13/5 for an away win here too big to turn down in our Marseille vs Monaco betting predictions.

A Look At Marseille’s Betting Odds

Marseille finished fifth in France’s top flight last season, 33 points adrift of champions Monaco, but they currently lie third in the table, one place and a single point above their next opponents.

A 2-0 win at Caen made it four straight wins in this competition, with Steve Mandanda keeping a clean sheet in the last three of those fixtures.

Former West Ham star Dimitri Payet has been making a big impact of late, netting in three of those four victories, while ex-Newcastle midfielder Florian Thauvin reached double figures for the season versus Caen.

The hosts have only failed to hit the target in one of 16 games at this venue in all competitions this season, so if we are backing the visitors, 19/4 for an away win and both teams to score stands out from the Marseille vs Monaco odds.

A Look At AS Monaco’s Betting Odds

Monaco have fallen from grace somewhat this season, paying the price for cashing in on several key players during the summer transfer window.

However, things have picked up since an early Champions League exit was confirmed, with Leonardo Jardim’s side unbeaten in eight Ligue 1 games.

Last Sunday’s 3-1 defeat of Metz was a sixth victory during that period and there is still hope of qualifying for Europe’s elite club competition again next term.

Radamel Falcao continues to lead from the front, with 16 league goals to his credit, while 22-year-old midfielder Thomas Lemar has shown why he is a target for Liverpool and Arsenal.

In what should be an end-to-end contest, we reckon 11/1 for a 2-1 away win is good value in our Marseille vs Monaco betting tips.
