What Trueform says for Watford vs Swansea

Watford emerged from a winter slump when showing their true capabilities with a welcome win over Leicester and will fancy their chances of building on that by seeing off struggling Swansea.

The Welsh outfit, now under caretaker manager Leon Britton, have suffered seven straight away defeats after Boxing Day’s drubbing at Liverpool.

Having conceded eight goals on their last two road trips, we like 37/20 for City to lose by more than one goal in our Watford vs Swansea betting predictions.

A Look At Watford’s Betting Odds

Watford had picked up just one point from six games before returning to form with a come-from-behind 2-1 triumph over Leicester.

The Hornets were grateful for a superb display from keeper Heurelho Gomes, who commented: “It’s a relief because we gave our all against Leicester.

“Sometimes it’s about the attitude, not the quality. We can’t change the results but can change the situation and I felt the players were ready.”

With the pressure off, Marco Silva’s side can hopefully now get back to the kind of performances which saw them claim back-to-back victories over West Ham and Newcastle in mid-November.

The Hornets do still have issues at the back, though, so 14/5 for a home win and both teams to score takes the eye from the Watford vs Swansea odds.

A Look At Swansea City’s Betting Odds

Stand-in boss Britton bemoaned the basic errors which saw Premier League basement dwellers Swansea hammered 5-0 by Liverpool at Anfield.

He said: “It was very difficult. The first half was not too bad, but after we conceded the second goal all belief and confidence drained from the players.

“We made a lot of mistakes, some really basic errors, and against a side with the quality of Liverpool then you are going to be punished.”

Watford may not be in Liverpool’s class when it comes to scoring goals, but they do have enough attacking talent to prevail here, especially with the exciting Richarlison back on song versus Leicester.

We’re going with 13/1 for a correct score punt of 3-1 in our Watford vs Swansea betting tips, with the Welsh outfit losing by that margin at Everton recently.
