Stoke’s run of four straight defeats means they are still not certain of Premier League safety but their next two games against Hull and then Swansea gives them the perfect opportunity to ease any nerves.
Hull have been revitalised under Marco Silva but if they do go down, it will be results on their travels that prove their downfall having managed just one win and two draws away from home.
It is understandable that the hosts are the firm favourites in the Stoke vs Hull betting odds.
A Look At Stoke’s Betting Odds
Stoke’s poor form may suggest their players are already thinking of their summer holidays but their performances have been better than results suggest.
They took the lead against Liverpool last week and manager Mark Hughes admitted the 2-1 defeat was “hard to take” after two brilliant close-range saves by Simon Mignolet denied them an equaliser. They have the fifth best record against teams in the bottom half, though, and we fancy Stoke to beat Hull at odds of 91/100.
Jonathan Walters had not scored until the start of December but has now netted four times so back the Irishman to score at any time, or for better odds consider Walters to score and Stoke to win.
A Look At Hull’s Betting Odds
Hull have shown no sign of reproducing their much-improved home form on their travels so their odds of 3/1 to beat Stoke have little appeal.
They have been beaten by exactly two goals in three of their last four away games so backing Stoke to win by the same margin is much more tempting at 9/2.
Hull have at least scored in six of their last seven games following their late consolation in the 3-1 defeat at Manchester City last weekend. Stoke to win and both teams to score is the last of our Stoke vs Hull predictions at 17/5.
