Brighton were shocking over the weekend but we’re giving them a chance to quickly make amends in Tuesday’s relegation battle with Cardiff. The Seagulls are five points clear of the Bluebirds and have a game in hand, so this is a golden opportunity to boost their survival prospects.

Tottenham’s focus now turns to their quest for a Premier League top-four spot after the midweek high of beating Manchester City in the Champions League. Spurs return to their new stadium for the third time in a row as they take on relegated Huddersfield knowing a win will keep them on course for a return to Europe’s top table.

Burnley eased their relegation fears with a 3-1 victory at Bournemouth which took them to the brink of preserving their Premier League status. Cardiff are in the bottom three and five points adrift of safety after a run of five defeats in their last six games.

Huddersfield are already preparing for life in the Championship next season and look worth opposing again when hosting Leicester. The Foxes have been in fine form since replacing Claude Puel with Brendan Rodgers and are seeking to be best of the rest without the Premier League’s big six.

Manchester City are expected to storm back to the Premier League summit when entertaining Cardiff at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. The champions have rattled off seven straight wins in this competition and romped to a 5-0 victory when these teams met in Wales earlier this season.

Watford were a touch unfortunate to leave Old Trafford empty-handed on Saturday and are fancied to secure some quick compensation when hosting Fulham. The Cottagers have suffered eight straight Premier League defeats and appear to have thrown in the towel with regards fighting for survival.

Crystal Palace will view the visit of Huddersfield as an ideal opportunity to pick up three precious points having lost two of their last three fixtures in the Premier League. Huddersfield have long been doomed and can be relegated this weekend should they lose at Selhurst Park and other results go against them.

Cardiff are fighting hard for their Premier League survival and are an attractive price to get the better of Chelsea on home turf. The Blues travel to Wales having lost four of their last five away fixtures in this competition, so it is tempting to take them on again here.

West Ham have been inconsistent of late but Trueform shows they are capable of producing the sort of performances that rock-bottom Huddersfield can only dream of. The Terriers enjoyed a rare win against Wolves recently but have since flopped against Brighton and Bournemouth.
