New-look Nottingham Forest have made an encouraging start to the season and backed up their first win over West Ham with a 1-1 draw at Everton.
Now they face their most difficult game so far against unbeaten Tottenham, who have seven points on the board after Harry Kane’s second-half goal was enough to beat Wolves.
Forest should be competitive in front of their own fans but we like an away win by any one-goal margin at 3.50 as our top Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham prediction.
Nottingham Forest Odds
Forest stopped signing players for long enough to grab a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
They led through Brennan Johnson’s goal with only nine minutes remaining, but were pegged back at the death by Demarai Gray’s strike.
The draw took the promoted side’s points tally from three games to a creditable four, but manager Steve Cooper felt they deserved more.
“We should have won,” said Cooper. “I thought we were the better team.
“We were good for going 1-0 up, so to concede in the way we did is disappointing. It is a disappointed dressing room, we feel like it’s a missed opportunity.
“But let’s not lose sight of all the good things we did. It is a first away point and our team looked good.”
If Forest can dig in, they could frustrate Spurs for long periods but ultimately the visitors have more quality on the pitch.
In the Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham odds, Spurs to win after drawing at half-time can be backed at 4.10.
Last Forest line-up: Henderson, McKenna, Worrall, Cook, Toffolo, Mangala, Williams, O’Brien, Lingard, Awoniyi, Johnson.
Forest will assess record signing Morgan Gibbs-White after he picked up a knock in last week’s draw at Everton. Moussa Niakhate (hamstring) and Omar Richards (leg) are long-term absentees.
Tottenham Hotspur Odds
After the battle of Stamford Bridge things calmed down at Spurs as they eased to a 1-0 win against Wolves.
Kane now apparently does score in August and already has two to his name this term. His goal at the weekend was his 185th in the Premier League – the most by any player for one club.
The England captain said: “It’s still really early on in the season so time will tell, but we’re in a good place.
“We know we need to improve, especially the last two first halves against Chelsea and Wolves, we need to better.
“But I think as the season goes on we’ll get stronger and stronger.”
Spurs to win 1-0 at 6.75 for a second successive match completes our Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham betting tips.
Last Tottenham line-up: Lloris, Dier, Davies, Sanchez, Bentancur, Emerson, Perisic, Hojbjerg, Kulusevski, Kane, Son.
Tottenham will remain without Cristian Romero (adductor) and Oliver Skipp (heel). Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil missed training on Friday but are expected to be part of the travelling group.
