England can ill-afford any more injury problems ahead of Thursday’s World Cup Group F qualifier with Slovenia at Wembley but are still fancied to book a trip to Russia 2018 with a win.
Gareth Southgate goes into this game without the likes of Jamie Vardy, Danny Rose, Adam Lallana and Danny Welbeck, while Dele Alli serves a one-match ban, but the majority of his first-choice players are still available.

England had to recover from an early setback when coming from behind to beat Slovakia 2-1 in London last time out, with Eric Dier and Marcus Rashford responding to a third-minute strike by the visitors.
That match and June’s 2-2 draw with Scotland in Glasgow should serve as a wake-up call to the Three Lions with regards remaining focused at all times.
Joe Hart did keep clean sheets in England’s other six qualifiers, including when making a series of fine saves in a goalless draw in Slovenia 12 months ago.
To be fair, Slovenia were the better team in Ljubliana, but Southgate had only just taken charge on an interim basis at that point and England now look more like a settled side.
Southgate, who has named in-form Harry Kane as captain, is looking forward to securing a World Cup place in style and believes the make-or-break nature of the qualification process raises the stakes.
“They have to win given their position in the group,” he said. “Slovakia are playing Malta, so you’d expect them to win that, so Slovenia have to win, which makes them a dangerous opponent.
“It’s a great challenge for us. They don’t concede a lot, so can we change that? We’re a game from Russia, something we want the whole country to be excited about. So we want to show we mean business.”

Slovenia weren’t picked by many pundits to qualify from this group but do still have a chance of making the play-offs on 14 points from eight games, level with Scotland, one behind Slovakia and six adrift of England.
However, three of their four wins have come at home, the only exception being a narrow 1-0 victory in Malta, and their form on the road is less impressive.
Srecko Katanec’s side were beaten 1-0 away by both Scotland and Slovakia, albeit only conceding late on each time.
The visitors are again expected to try and keep things tight early on, but England have the quality to wear them down in the second period.
Katanec said at yesterday’s press conference: “We need to be very solid in defence, we need to help each other, we need to be compact on the pitch. That’s the only way to achieve success.”
