What Trueform says for Watford vs Crystal Palace
Watford have made a fine start to the new Premier League season but look evenly matched with Crystal Palace on our overall Trueform chart.
That view is backed up by their head-to-head form, with the last two meetings at Vicarage Road ending in stalemate.
In fact, these teams haven’t been separated by more than one goal in 10 straight encounters.
That all points to 21/10 for a draw being the way to go with our first Watford vs Crystal Palace prediction.
A Look At Watford’s Betting Odds
Watford were among the favourites for relegation after finishing last season poorly and then losing Richarlison to Everton, but they have rallied superbly.
Roberto Pereyra bagged a brace in the 2-0 home win over Brighton, while Andre Gray, Troy Deeney and Will Hughes were on target in a 3-1 triumph at Burnley.
Hornets boss Javier Gracia heaped praise on Gray and Deeney in particular after the Turf Moor victory, stating: “It was good for our two forwards.
“They are doing a very good job and not only by scoring goals. They are creating difficulties for the centre-backs and we have been able to keep the line a little bit higher.”
A Look At Crystal Palace’s Betting Odds
Crystal Palace kicked off with an encouraging 2-0 win at Fulham and were then a touch unfortunate to go down by the same scoreline at home to Liverpool.
The Reds were given a soft penalty on the stroke of half-time when Mohamed Salah went down under a clumsy challenge from Mamadou Sakho, which James Milner converted.
Palace battled hard to try and find an equaliser but Sadio Mane made the game safe in stoppage time after Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off.
“I’ve got some comfort or pride in the team’s performance, but it’s not going to change my anger at the way we came in at half-time a goal down,” said Roy Hodgson.
“It’s not a penalty. I’ve been in football a long time. If that’s a penalty, then the game has changed beyond all recognition.”
Losing Wan-Bissaka to suspension is an additional blow, but the Eagles still look like a decent unit this term.
Let’s finish off our Watford vs Crystal Palace betting tips by taking 11/2 for a 1-1 stalemate here.
