Ahead of the massive Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon, bwin shares its Liverpool v Man City betting tips and predicitons.
The Premier League title race takes another twist this weekend with Liverpool hosting Man City in what is, to this point, arguably the biggest game of the 2023/24 campaign.
Should they win, Liverpool will go four points clear of Man City at the top of the Premier League, likely making themselves favourites for the title. However, if they’re beatn by Pep Guardiola’s side and Arsenal also win, then Liverpool could end the weekend in third place, despite Jurgen Klopp’s side being first going into it.
Liverpool v Man City betting tips & predictions
Liverpool and Man City to draw @ 11/4
When the two teams met at the Etihad Stadium in November the score ended 1-1, and we’re predicting that Liverpool and Man City will draw once again this weekend. The two times are pretty evenly balanced, and the game very much could go either way, but we’re suggesting both teams will walk away from Anfield with one point.
A result like that would be music to the ears of Arsenal fans, who given their superior goal difference, could end the weekend as the league leaders. A win for the Gunners against Brentford this weekend, should City and Liverpool draw, would see Arsenal move into first place, if only because of the sheer amount of goals they’ve scored since the turn of the year.
Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland to score @ 18/5
Mohamed Salah was back in the squad for Liverpool’s trip to Sparta Prague on Thursday evening in the UEFA Europa League, a competition that they’re the favourites to win, putting himself in contention to start his first game for the Reds since January 1. He’s always up for the big occasions, and will be hoping to find the back of the net once again at Anfield this weekend.
Erling Haaland has scored four Premier League goals in 2024, and will be hoping to make it at least five at Anfield this weekend too. The Norweigen and Salah are number one and three in the goal scoring charts this season, and with it all to play for this weekend, we’re predicting that both men will score in the big Liverpool v Man City game this weekend, with odds of 18/5.
Manchester City to score first @ 4/5
The score was 1-1 when the two sides met in Manchester last year, with Erling Haaland opening the scoring in the first half. Liverpool came from behind to steal a point, thanks to a quality goal from Trent Alexander-Arnold late in the second half. We’re predicting that Man City will take the lead, just as they did earlier in the season, before Liverpool potentially claw a goal back on route to a draw between the two sides.
