FC Minsk vs BATE: Both teams to score a solid bet

Kick-off: 1500, 12/04/2020

Stadium: FC Minsk Stadium

FC Minsk and BATE Borisov had contrasting results during the third round of the Vysshaya Liga fixtures as they go head to head at the FC Minsk Stadium.

Minsk fell to a 2-0 derby defeat at top-of-the-table Energetik while BATE, who had won the league title for 13 successive years before finishing second last season, secured their first win at newcomers Ruh Brest.

Despite their poor start, Borisov have come out on top in eight of the last 10 league and cup contests between the two sides and are 3/4 to do so again in our initial Minsk vs BATE prediction.

A Look At FC Minsk’s Betting Odds

Minsk staved off relegation last season by finishing ninth in a congested bottom half of the Vysshaya Liga.

Only eight points separated Gomel in 15th and eighth-placed Slavia Mozyr but they have kicked off this time around with two wins from three games.

An opening 3-1 victory at Belshina was followed up by a 3-2 derby win over Dinamo Minsk with new signing Vladimir Khvashchinskiy scoring in each match.

They failed to find the back of the net at Energetik, with the two teams locked at the top of the table, as they fell 2-0 but we fancy them to score against BATE.

Although five of the last six matches against BATE have seen one team fail to score, both teams have scored in six of Minsk’s last 10 home league games.

Borisov have also scored and conceded in eight of their 10 away league matches, so we fancy both to get on the scoresheet at 4/5 for our second selection from the Minsk vs BATE odds.

A Look At BATE Borisov’s Betting Odds

BATE finally registered their first win of the 2020 Vysshaya Liga when they defeated Ruh Brest thanks to Stanislav Dragun’s seventh-minute strike.

Borisov dominated top-flight football in Belarus for 13 seasons before Dynamo Brest usurped them to claim their maiden league crown in 2019.

Despite finishing second to Dynamo, BATE only lost four matches all campaign but suffered half of that total after two matchdays this season.

Away losses at Energetik and Slavia Mozyr saw over 2.5 goals and that is the market we are looking at for the final pick.

There have been three or more goals in 15 of BATE’s last 20 league matches, while there have been over 2.5 goals in 13 of the last 20 home league games for Minsk.

We expect another goal-fest in the Belarus capital at a price of 17/20 to round off our Minsk vs BATE betting tips.
