TBSL Betting Odds

Also known as the Türkiye Basketbol Süper Ligi, the TBSL is the top basketball league in Turkey. The basketball system in Turkey has five levels starting with the Super League, then followed by the Premier, Second, Regional and University leagues. Betting on basketball in Turkey

Turks are devoted to sports in general. Basketball is the second most popular sport in the country. It is also fast-growing.

Similar to football, the Turkish national basketball team made history in 2001 by reaching second place at the European Basketball Championship in Istanbul. The other big coup came when they won a second silver medal at the FIBA World Cup in 2010.

Betting on the TBSL

A basketball championship season in Turkey runs from the end of September to the end of June. Composed of 16 teams, the regular season of the Turkish Basketball Super League is played in a round-robin format, Each team plays fellow league members across total of 30 games.

At the end of the regular season, playoffs are held involving the top 8 teams while the bottom two teams are relegated to the second division, known as the TBL. During the playoffs, the quarter-finals are played in best-of-three game format, and the semi-finals and finals are played in best-of-five games.

The Turkish basketball league is currently one of the most competitive leagues in Europe. With the best talent spread throughout the it, big names from abroad are attraccted to Turkey, so the title race is not dominated by the same old clubs every year. Two teams from TBSL have long-term licenses to participate in the Euroleague of basketball. These are Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahçe Beko, based in Istanbul — home to many professional basketball teams who enjoy competitive encounters while having enthusiastic fans.
