We’re back with our Super League predictions and eyeing a 70/1-plus acca if all six Round 20 betting tips come in.
With just four more rounds of fixtures to go until teams split up into being Grand Final contenders or facing a survival fight, the pressure is building.
St Helens to beat Leeds @ 11/10
Leeds’ home defeat to Castleford Tigers last week, which left them fourth in the table, came at a cost as Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Danny McGuire both received suspensions.
Saints can take advantage of that and bolster their top-four hopes, backing up last week’s last-gasp win over Salford Red Devils when Matty Smith kicked a drop goal after the hooter to complete a remarkable comeback after they were trailing 24-8 with seven minutes to go.
Castleford to beat Hull FC @ 2/5
Castleford opened up a seven-point gap at the top with their win at Headingley and face a Hull FC side who have beaten them twice already this season, the second of which saw them crash out of the Challenge Cup.
But Cas are brilliant in front of their own fans and, despite second-placed Hull beating Wakefield Trinity to register a fourth consecutive win last week, are favourites to claim a 12th home win on the bounce this term.
Catalans to beat Leigh by more than 14 @ 91/100
Catalans Dragons were edged out by Warrington Wolves last week and, on home soil, should secure a first win in charge for new coach Steve McNamara to stay in touch with the top eight.
Leigh travel to France bottom of the table and reeling from a heavy defeat to fellow strugglers Widnes Vikings.
Warrington to beat Wakefield @ Evens
Warrington boosted their confidence with victory over top-eight rivals Catalans Dragons and can take advantage of a Wakefield side struggling with injuries.
Trinity have lost their last three matches in all competitions, including heavy defeats to Salford and Hull, and may struggle to last the pace with the Wolves.
Wigan to beat Widnes by more than 14 @ 91/100
Wigan Warriors are slowly reviving their season after reaching the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup and snatching a draw against Huddersfield Giants last time out.
Although they have not won a Super League game since April 23, they are fancied at home to see off a spirited Widnes side who have won three of their last four.
Huddersfield to beat Salford @ 187/100
Huddersfield have breathed new life into their season in recent weeks, picking up some notable scalps in beating Warrington, Catalans Dragons and St Helens while drawing with Wigan.
And they can take advantage of a Salford side who are reeling after letting a 16-point lead slip at the death against Saints.
