We’re eyeing a near-7/1 treble with this week’s Super League predictions, as clubs enter the business end of the regular season.
Round 22 has again thrown up some crucial contests, with teams jostling for positions ahead of the Round 23 split.
Leeds – 12.5 points versus Widnes @ 91/100
Leeds, the current Super League champions, must win their final two games to have any chance of making the Super 8s. The Rhinos have gone nine games without a victory, halting an eight-match losing streak with a 20-20 draw with Wakefield last time out. Widnes are rock-bottom having lost 14 in a row, the latest a 26-24 reverse to fellow strugglers Hull KR.
Hull KR + 6.5 points versus Warrington @ 4/5
Momentum is certainly on Hull KR’s side having won three in a row and taking seven points from a possible eight. Rovers have rattled up 89 points in their last two home matches and beat Wigan here in May. Warrington have won two of their last five games with winning margins in three of them being four points or less on top of a tie with Catalans last Thursday.
Catalans – 16.5 points versus Salford @ 91/100
Catalans are another team transformed following their early-season struggles and have been beaten just once in the last eight games – a one-point loss at Huddersfield. The French side recovered from a 16-8 deficit and the sin-binning of Michael Simon with 12 minutes remaining to draw 22-22 at Warrington. Salford have lost their last three, conceding 106 points in the process.
