Buccaneers vs Cowboys: Continuity key for Tampa Bay

Kick-off: 0120, 10/09/2021

Stadium: Raymond James Stadium

TV: Sky Sports

Eight months after their Super Bowl demolition of Kansas City, Tampa Bay start out again at Raymond James Stadium by hosting Dallas.

The Buccaneers have managed to bring back all 22 starters from that glorious night and look well set to hit the ground running this term.

We’re going with 10/3 for a home win by 7-12 points as our first Buccaneers vs Cowboys prediction.

A Look At Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Betting Odds

Tom Brady grew more and more comfortable as last term progressed, leading Tampa Bay to 11-5 in the regular season.

In the play-offs, the Buccaneers were given a scare by Washington before battling to commendable away victories over New Orleans and Green Bay.

Everything then clicked in Super Bowl LV on home turf, as the Chiefs were thrashed 31-9 in a one-sided decider.

Few will doubt whether quarterback GOAT Brady can turn it on for one more year, even at the age of 44, especially behind such a secure offensive line.

Some will argue that Tampa Bay could be even better this term, having been regularly hampered by injuries last season.

Mike Evans caught touchdown passes in each of the first five matches last year and is a worthy favourite at 4/1 to grab his team’s opening TD in the Buccaneers vs Cowboys odds.

A Look At Dallas Cowboys’ Betting Odds

Dallas failed to recover from Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury in Week Five last term, eventually ending up at 6-10 under stand-in signal caller Andy Dalton.

A new four-year, $160m deal for Prescott showed how much his absence was noted, while the Cowboys will be hoping wide receiver CeeDee Lamb can build on an encouraging rookie campaign.

Unfortunately, star guard Zack Martin is set to miss this contest due to Covid restrictions and that will no doubt affect Prescott’s protection and the run game.

On the other side of the ball, Dallas were dismal at stopping other teams from marching down the field and that issue was addressed by six straight defensive picks in the draft.

Pre-season results can be misleading, but the signs are that the revamped back line may need more time to gel together, though.

Let’s add 17/20 for Tampa Bay to cover a spread of 3.5 and over 40.5 total points in the game to our Buccaneers vs Cowboys betting tips.
