Night 13 of the Premier League takes place at the Manchester Arena on Thursday.
The race for top spot was thrown wide open following back-to-back defeats for leader Michael van Gerwen in front of his home crowd in Rotterdam, where Gary Anderson won three times and Raymond van Barneveld triumphed twice.
Here are our Premier League darts betting predictions, which will return around £110 for a £10 stake in an accumulator.
Michael Smith to beat Peter Wright @ 33/20
Smith, with a three-point cushion over Daryl Gurney and a game in hand, appears the man to catch for the final play-off spot. The 27-year-old has struggled to win the big matches this campaign, losing to Rob Cross twice, Van Gerwen and Anderson, but hammered Wright 7-1 on Night Seven. The Scot’s form has improved in recent weeks, securing victories over Van Gerwen and Van Barneveld plus a draw against Cross, yet he has lost four of his last six meetings with Smith.
Michael van Gerwen to beat Daryl Gurney @ 3/10
Van Gerwen was shellshocked on his return to Holland, losing to Wright and Barney, as his lead at the top was cut to only one point. The Dutchman needs to bounce back and his record of 13 wins in 15 meetings with Gurney bodes well. The Northern Irishman kept his slim top-four hopes alive by responding to two defeats with a 7-1 hammering of Simon Whitlock.
Gary Anderson to beat Simon Whitlock @ 33/100
Anderson was the big winner in Rotterdam, beating Gurney, Cross and Smith to move into second place in the table. By contrast, Whitlock saw his play-off aspirations blow up in smoke with three defeats in the double-header. Two of those losses were 7-1 and the Australian now props up his rivals.
Rob Cross to beat Raymond van Barneveld @ 3/4
Cross took three points from as many games to ensure his top-four bid remained on track. The world champion beat Gurney and drew with Wright either side of losing to the in-form Anderson. A return home brought the best out of Barney to breathe new hope into his play-off bid. The Dutchman ended a run of four defeats with victories over Whitlock and Van Gerwen, but he has lost all four meetings with Cross.
Michael van Gerwen to beat Michael Smith @ 9/25
Going off the theory that Smith does not perform against the big names, this should be a Van Gerwen victory. The defending champion has won nine of their last 10 matches including 7-2 on Night Eight.
