Canada and USA are both bang on course to qualify for this year’s World Cup finals in Qatar and a draw in Hamilton may satisfy both teams.
With three automatic places up for grabs in the CONCACAF group, Mexico are just behind but Panama crucially lost ground due to Thursday’s defeat at Costa Rica.

“It wasn’t the prettiest game,” admitted Robinson. “There were times when we played good football and times when we just had to kind of dig out chances that we didn’t put away.
“We had to stay strong, stay resilient to keep a clean sheet – and that’s massive for us going forward. They’re the games that we have to keep winning if we want to qualify.”
Gregg Berhalter sprang a surprise by preferring Ferreira to Ricardo Pepi up front alongside Weah and Chelsea playmaker Christian Pulisic, but either forward fits nicely into this line-up.
McKennie, Musah and Tyler Adams form a hard-working midfield and two athletic wing-backs always bring energy and enthusiasm.
The Stars and Stripes have only won one of their four away games, though, and were upset 1-0 in Panama, so they may proceed with caution at The Donut Box.
