The Lions did take advantage of a lowly ranking to win a C division of the Nations League, though, finishing two points above Bulgaria and well clear of Cyprus and Slovenia.
Bournemouth’s Josh King and Tarik Elyounoussi of Stockholm outfit AIK are decent options in attack, although probably just short of this level.
West Brom’s Stefan Johansen and Mohamed Elyounoussi of Southampton are solid, but unspectacular midfielders, while Fulham’s Havard Nordtveit is the most experienced defender.
Overall, this is a workmanlike set-up which may compete for second place with Sweden, but Spain should prove a cut above.
