BATE Borisov are one of the form teams in the Vysshaya Liga heading into Sunday’s trip to struggling Smolevichi.
The 15-time Belarus champions, who lost their crown to Dinamo Brest in 2019, have stormed up the table on the back of a five-match unbeaten streak.
Smolevichi are struggling to adapt to life back in the top flight and have yet to win this season.
Scoring has become a problem for the hosts and an away win to nil at 7/10 is our initial Smolevichi vs BATE Borisov prediction.
A Look At Smolevichi’s Betting Odds
Smolevichi are second bottom in the table after failing to win any of their seven matches since promotion.
Aleksandr Brazevich’s team had an encouraging start by claiming a draw at defending champions Dinamo Brest, one of three in their first five games.
But their limitations were highlighted with back-to-back defeats, losing 3-1 to Dinamo Minsk and 2-0 against Energetik.
Playing on their home ground is also not having an impact with three defeats in four, scoring one goal.
They have conceded the first goal in five of their seven matches, the same amount of times BATE have netted the opener.
A Look At BATE Borisov’s Betting Odds
BATE have not looked back since starting the season with a hangover from losing out to Brest last season.
Since suffering consecutive defeats, Borisov have won four and drawn one of their next five matches to sit third in the table, only three points off leaders Slutsk.
During that sequence they have scored nine goals and conceded only one to show they mean business, especially with a cup final against Brest to come too.
BATE have also won their last two away games – 3-0 at FC Minsk and 2-0 at Gorodeya – without conceding and look likely to cause Smolevichi more problems on home soil.
Borisov also beat Smolevichi in their two previous meetings in 2018 by one goal.
It could be more convincing this time and a scoreline of 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 is 27/2 and our final Smolevichi vs BATE Borisov prediction.
Smolevichi 0-2 Energetik
BATE BORISOV 3-1 Neman Grodno – Bojan Dubajic, Igor Stasevich, Pavel Nekhajchik
Head-to-head: Smolevichi 2-3 Bate Borisov, Bate Borisov 1-0 Smolevichi
