Premier League transfer news: Odds for big late moves

With deadline day fast approaching, we’re tracking the latest Premier League transfer news to see whether any big late deals will take place.

Bwin is offering odds on several players linked with a move this summer finally switching clubs before the window shuts.

Here are some star names reportedly attracting interest and their Premier League transfer odds, with loan moves counting:

DECLAN RICE

The West Ham powerhouse further boosted his profile with some impressive displays for England during Euro 2020 and is the kind of player elite clubs could build a midfield around. Chelsea are favourites to swoop at 5/2 but Manchester United will appeal to some at 7/2 as the Red Devils could offer former Hammers loan star Jesse Lingard and others in part-exchange.

PHILIPPE COUTINHO

It has been a sensational summer for homecomings, with Romelu Lukaku returning to Chelsea before Cristiano Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United, so 10/1 for Liverpool to bring the Brazil international back to Anfield is tempting. However, Coutinho’s stock has fallen slightly during quiet spells with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, so he may now have to lower his sights. It is 3/1 for Wolves to swoop, 5/1 for Tottenham and 5/1 for Everton, which catches the eye as it was Rafael Benitez who first recommended Coutinho to the Reds when manager of Inter Milan. He could still be a fan, especially if James Rodriguez moves on.

ANTOINE GRIEZMANN

Barcelona’s financial problems have already prompted Lionel Messi’s departure and Griezmann is 2/1 to go back to Atletico Madrid. However, Manchester City may also be interested in the French forward after missing out on Ronaldo and Harry Kane, so 6/1 he joins the Blues will attract interest.

HOUSSEM AOUAR

The midfielder has been on the radar of several clubs since impressing in Lyon’s run to the Champions League semi-finals a couple of years ago and lots of Premier League transfer rumours suggest he could end up in north London. Arsenal need a boost after their dismal start to the season and are just Evens to swoop, with arch-rivals Tottenham next best in the betting on 3/1.
