Hibs have won their last four encounters with Aberdeen in knockout competitions but we reckon that hoodoo will come to an end in Saturday’s Scottish FA Cup semi-final.
The Dons play at a higher level and will travel to Hampden Park in confident mood after winning 16 of their last 19 matches in all competitions.
The first of our Hibs vs Aberdeen betting tips is to back the second-placed Premiership side at 9/10 to win in normal time.
A Look At Hibernian’s Betting Odds
Hibs prevailed 2-0 when these teams met in the League Cup last term and will return to the top flight next season after already wrapping up the Championship title.
Just one defeat since the start of December shows the Edinburgh outfit are hard to beat and they did claim the scalp of neighbours Hearts in an earlier round.
However, four draws in six against the likes of Dunfermline, Morton (twice) and Dumbarton does suggest Hibs have their limitations going into such a tough test.
Drawing a blank in front of goal just six times all season is a plus point but we like 11/4 for Aberdeen to win and both teams to score.
A Look At Aberdeen’s Betting Odds
Aberdeen have already qualified for next season’s Europa League after a 2-1 success at St Johnstone made it five wins in six Premiership matches and kept them nine points clear of third-placed Rangers.
The Dons had to dig deep to stave off a second-half fightback at McDiarmid Park but showed good resolve to eventually leave with maximum points.
“For too long, Aberdeen haven’t been playing any meaningful games near the end of the season but having the challenge in the cup and teams challenging us in the league has been good for us,” commented manager Derek McInnes.
A quote of 15/4 for Aberdeen to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 takes the eye.
HIBS 3-0 Queen of the South – Darren McGregor (2), David Gray
St Johnstone 1-2 ABERDEEN – Ryan Christie, Tam Scobbie (og)
Head-to-head: Hibs 2-0 Aberdeen, Hibs 0-2 Aberdeen, Aberdeen 1-0 Hibs, Hibs 0-2 Aberdeen.
