Germany continue their quest for a seventh straight Women’s European Championship title when facing Denmark in the quarter-finals and are hard to oppose in Rotterdam.
Steffi Jones’ side failed to hit peak form in Group B but still finished at the summit, while the Danes did enough to claim second place behind hosts Holland in Group A.
The defending champions made steady progress throughout their pool games, though, and 21/20 they win to nil here stands out from the Germany Women vs Denmark Women odds.
A Look At Germany’s Betting Odds
Germany kicked off with a goalless draw against Sweden and had to rely on three penalties to help them secure a 2-1 win over Italy and a 2-0 defeat of Russia.
However, there were more encouraging signs in that last victory as they enjoyed 71 per cent of the possession and were on target with 11 of 29 total goal attempts.
“I think we have seen improvement again in this game,” said head coach Jones. “We had 12 or 13 good chances. The machinery is starting to roll now.
“I think the players are doing things automatically now and I am convinced that we will make goals against Denmark as well.”
Whether it’s men or women, Die Mannschaft always seem to rise to the occasion at the business end of tournaments and we like 5/4 they win by more than one goal for our Germany Women vs Denmark Women betting tips.
A Look At Denmark’s Betting Odds
Denmark were involved in three 1-0 scorelines during the pool stage, beating Belgium and Norway either side of a loss to the Netherlands.
Katrine Veje’s early goal helped them to upset Norway on Monday but it has to be said that they rode their luck in Deventer.
Norway had a penalty saved, hit the woodwork twice and saw a goal ruled out for offside, with Denmark coach Nils Nielsen admitting: “We needed some good fortune.”
The Scandinavians are not short on spirit, but may just lack their opponents’ quality and we’re taking 5/1 for Germany to prevail 2-0.
