Wolves head to Portugal needing a point to guarantee a place in the last 32 of the Europa League with a game to spare in Group K.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are second behind Thursday’s opponents and on the brink of qualifying thanks to a 1-0 victory against Slovan Bratislava in their previous European game.
A draw would also send Braga through so backing the points to be shared at 37/20 is the obvious pick as our opening Braga vs Wolves prediction.
A Look At Braga’s Betting Odds
Wolves were given an early wake-up call at the start of the group stage when Braga won 1-0 at Molineux in the opening match.
Ricardo Horta grabbed the only goal in the 71st minute when Ryan Bennett’s loose pass gave the ball to Galeno on the halfway line and he raced clear.
With Wolves stretched, the forward found the unmarked Horta and he drilled in at Rui Patricio’s near post from 10 yards.
The result was harsh on Wolves, who dominated for long spells and went close through Patrick Cutrone and Leander Dendoncker, so Braga may struggle to complete the double and secure top spot in the group.
They are mid-table in Portugal and their domestic form has been nothing special, with a 4-0 defeat at home to leaders Benfica proving Wolves have little to fear.
With both teams knowing a clean sheet would see them go through, another game of few chances seems likely so we’ll back at least one team not to score at 9/10 as one of our Braga vs Wolves betting tips.
A Look At Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Betting Odds
Wolves were also in poor domestic form when the teams met at Molineux but have improved steadily since then.
The win against Slovan means they are five points clear of the third-placed team in the group with two matches remaining.
It was the first time Wanderers had won three successive games in a major European competition since their 1971/72 UEFA Cup campaign, when they won six in a row en route to reaching the final.
Reflecting on the return to European competition, Nuno said: “We have responded and we embraced the challenge, it doesn’t change.
“It is about preparing to compete. We have to improve and grow a lot, it is about growing during the competition.
“Each moment that we compete is a moment that we try to make new things, new solutions and new lines – it is a new process. It is growing with the competition.”
Having got so close to qualifying, we don’t expect Wolves to deviate too much from the tactics that have seen just six goals scored in total in their four games.
Only two of those have been conceded by Wolves and a low-scoring game is on the cards again, so a 0-0 draw at 21/4 is our final pick from the Braga vs Wolves odds.
