Poland were put to the sword by Belgium in a 6-1 drubbing last week but may have the chance to gain revenge in the return Nations League fixture.
The Red Devils have since been rocked by a number of withdrawals and this Warsaw clash could just be a case of one match too many after a long season.
We believe 3.5 for a home win is a value bet in our opening Poland vs Belgium prediction.
Poland Odds
Poland actually led in Brussels through Robert Lewandowski but conceded approaching half-time and then collapsed during the second period.
However, before that they had shaded Wales 2-1 in Wroclaw and Saturday brought an entertaining 2-2 Rotterdam draw with Netherlands.
Matty Cash and Piotr Zielinski both netted against the run of play to put the Eagles in front, but the Dutch recovered well.
Davy Klaassen and Denzel Dumfries struck in quick succession and the Dutch could have snatched victory late on but Memphis Depay hit the post with a penalty.
Aston Villa defender Cash commented: “It’s a really good result. A lot of teams come here and struggle.
“We showed fantastic character to stay in the game and keep it at 2-2, although I had a sigh of relief at the end.”
Southampton’s Jan Bednarek added: “At the end, we had a bit of luck, but our passion, commitment and fight was of the highest level.”
Lewandowski was rested for that trip, so Poland should take plenty of confidence from coping so well without their talismanic striker.
Looking at the Poland vs Belgium odds, we like 5.0 for a home win by any one-goal margin.
Belgium Odds
Belgium have had a topsy-turvy campaign so far in this pool, losing 4-1 to Holland before that rout of Poland and then drawing 1-1 in Wales.
Youri Tielemans produced a neat finish on 51 minutes in Cardiff but the Dragons levelled things up in the closing stages.
To be fair, that was the least Wales deserved, as they had created a number of decent chances against tired-looking opponents.
Tielemans said: “I think it was a mixed performance. In the first half, we created a few chances, but after we didn’t keep the ball enough to score a second goal to end the game.
“We put ourselves in trouble and they scored in the end. A point is not a bad result but it could have been better.”
After that match, Roberto Martinez allowed Kevin De Bruyne, Yannick Carrasco and Thomas Meunier to go off on their holidays.
The next day, Romelu Lukaku, Dedryck Boyata and Amadou Onana were ruled out, leaving the Red Devils’ squad stretched.
They will still give it a go and have netted in 47 consecutive international matches, but we’re adding 6.5 for a home win and both teams to score to our Poland vs Belgium betting tips.
