Kick-off: 1530, 04/04/2020

Stadium: Borisov Arena

Perennial powerhouses BATE Borisov are facing an early-season crisis ahead of entertaining Vysshaya Liga newcomers Ruh Brest on Saturday.

After failing to land a 15th straight title triumph when slipping to second last season, BATE have started this term with two straight defeats.

Getting back on track here is essential and 19/20 for the hosts to be ahead at half-time and full-time is our first BATE Borisov vs Ruh Brest prediction.

A Look At BATE Borisov’s Betting Odds

BATE kicked off the current campaign with a 3-1 loss at Energetyk and then went down 2-1 at Slavia Mozyr.

Willum Willumsson gave them an early lead last weekend, but Nikita Melnikov’s double either side of half-time turned things around.

With BATE having tasted defeat just four times last season, the pressure is on new boss Kirill Alshevskiy to stop the rot sooner, rather than later.

Returning to home turf is a big boost, though, with 12 of last season’s 15 fixtures at Borisov Arena resulting in victory.

This is a club which qualified for the Champions League group stage five times between 2008 and 2015, while they beat Arsenal in the Europa League knockout rounds at this venue last February.

Such a rich history is hard to ignore, so we’re sticking with them to record a convincing win on this occasion.

Looking at the BATE Borisov vs Ruh Brest odds, we reckon 11/10 for a home win and over 2.5 goals in the game stands out.

A Look At Ruh Brest’s Betting Odds

Ruh Brest were established as a feeder team for last year’s Vysshaya Liga champions Dinamo Brest but have quickly risen through the ranks in their own right.

After topping the table in the third tier two years ago, they earned another promotion when finishing third in the Belarusian First League last term.

Opening up with a 1-0 triumph at Dinamo Minsk showed the ambition continues to grow, with Ukrainian defender Oleksiy Kovtun grabbing the deciding goal.

Losing by the same scoreline at home to Energetik may just have burst their bubble, though, and this now looks a daunting trip.

Let’s finish off our BATE Borisov vs Ruh Brest betting tips by taking 29/4 for a 3-0 home win.
