Premier League Darts Week 13: Nothing to separate Taylor and Wright

Week 13 of the Premier League takes place at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham on Thursday night as the race for the top four hots up.

Leader Michael van Gerwen and second-placed Peter Wright pulled clear of the chasing pack with victories in Belfast while Dave Chisnall reignited his play-off push with impressive wins over Adrian Lewis and Phil Taylor.

Here are our five Premier League darts betting tips, which if they are all successful will generate around £85 from a £1 accumulator.

Adrian Lewis to beat James Wade, have the highest checkout and hit most 180s @ 51/20

Despite beating Taylor in Liverpool, Wade suffered a fifth defeat in six matches in Belfast, losing comfortably to Wright. On the other hand, Lewis has impressed in previous weeks with five victories in seven outings and, with Wade’s top-four hopes all-but gone, ‘The Jackpot’ is likely to pile on more misery and boost his own play-off chances ahead of his clash with Van Gerwen later in the evening.

Michael van Gerwen to score more 180s than Dave Chisnall @ 11/10

Chisnall, unbeaten in four games, may have hit six 180s in two triumphs last week but he faces a tough task against in-form Van Gerwen. The Dutchman is expected to win the fixture comfortably, meaning he is likely to throw plenty of maximums.

Phil Taylor and Peter Wright to draw @ 17/5

There won’t be much to separate these two in Birmingham. Taylor struggled to maintain his standards during two matches last week, losing to Chisnall after winning seven legs on the bounce to beat Gary Anderson 7-4. Wright saw off Wade and, with three of their Premier League meetings ending in draws, a 6-6 scoreline could be on the cards again here.

Gary Anderson to beat Raymond van Barneveld @ 11/25

Both players are not entering their clash in great form. Anderson has shown inconsistency throughout the campaign, following a win with a loss in the last few weeks, while Van Barneveld has suffered back-to-back defeats after five consecutive successes. The Dutchman may have peaked too soon so Anderson is a decent shout to collect the two points.

A 180 to be thrown in first leg of Adrian Lewis versus Michael van Gerwen @ 17/20

With Lewis and Van Gerwen heading into their showdown having already played earlier in the night, a fast start is expected. Therefore a maximum in the first leg looks very appealing.
