Canada are enjoying a dream international break and can move even closer to qualifying for this year’s World Cup by winning in El Salvador.
The Canucks are coming off triumphs over Honduras and the USA, which made it five consecutive victories for the CONCACAF group table toppers.

El Salvador showed plenty of spirit when only beaten 1-0 by the USA in Columbus and then enjoyed a nice 2-0 victory away to Honduras.
In that last game, Nelson Bonilla put La Selecta ahead on 35 minutes to give him a useful tally of 17 goals from 51 international appearances.
Houston Dynamo midfielder Darwin Ceren later wrapped up the win when finding the bottom corner of the net in stoppage time.
Overall, though, El Salvador have struggled to find a cutting edge up front during this campaign, scoring only four times in their first nine fixtures.
Admittedly, just three goals have been conceded from five home matches, with Mexico the sole side to leave San Salvador with maximum points.
Even so, it’s hard to ignore the fact that the Canucks keep finding a way to get the job done.

There was some concern about how Canada would cope without injured Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies and with some players possibly undercooked ahead of the new MLS season.
However, they followed up a 2-0 win in Honduras by seeing off the United States by the same scoreline in Hamilton.
Besiktas striker Cyle Larin became Canada’s all-time record scorer when making it 23 goals from 46 caps early on versus USA.
Samuel Adekugbe wrapped up a deserved victory in the 95th minute, with Hamilton-raised Red Star Belgrade keeper Milan Borjan rarely troubled at the other end.
“We’re living the dream,” beamed English head coach John Herdman. “Through the hard work and the effort, we’re living a big moment.
“This country feels like they’re behind us and we’re nearly there. We’ll never stop fighting and we’ve got a football nation behind us now.”
The general consensus is that the Canucks are not the most talented team in this pool, but Herdman has them playing in a positive manner, with great energy and enthusiasm.
Still unbeaten and with only five goals conceded in 10 qualifiers, we reckon 5.75 for a 1-0 away win here is worth adding to our El Salvador vs Canada predictions.
