The entire Le Mans circuit and the permanent section named Bugatti are classified as a Grade 2 track; one below the Grade 1 requirement for Formula 1. The challenge of improving the entire circuit is not insignificant, given the requirements for Grade 1 status.

This turn at the end of the start-finish straight is still considered the fastest turn in the World Championship.
