Moto GP

The entire Le Mans circuit and the permanent section named Bugatti are classified as a Grade 2 track; one below the Grade 1 requirement for Formula 1. The challenge of improving the entire circuit is not insignificant, given the requirements for Grade 1 status.

However, Le Mans has hosted MotoGP (all motorcycle betting) every year since 2000.

Betting on the French GP in Moto GP

Geographically, the Bugatti circuit is located 200 km southeast of the capital city of Paris and 5 km from the neighbouring city of Le Mans.

The Bugatti circuit has a common part with the 24 Hours circuit of 13,626 km used for the 24 Hours of Le Mans car, and motorcycle or truck. The track is entirely closed off and lit at night during these competitions.

As a stop-and-go track, motorcycles must be configured for hard braking and rapid acceleration out of corners. This requires a bike that remains stable when the brakes are applied.

As well as a bike with a solid rear end, good mechanical grip and a controllable wheelie will help in exiting corners. These are the keys to winning on the Bugatti circuit.

Betting on the Bugatti circuit

The 11-turn, 4.2-kilometre Sarthe circuit in its current configuration is a highly technical track offering a wide range of features that mean Moto GP riders must be highly focussed throughout their ride.s

The most striking features of the Bugatti track layout, which make it very different from other tracks, are the two forks that follow one another almost immediately and the turn at the end of the straight. This turn at the end of the start-finish straight is still considered the fastest turn in the World Championship.

It means you have to find the right compromise to be able to take the fast corner at high speed while simultaneously keeping a tight grip.

Recommended bets on the French GP

There is a lot of hard braking with an average maximum deceleration of 1.2G, followed by places where the drivers have open the throttle as wide as it will go. The track also has some great corners and excellent overtaking spots. A recommended bet on Moto GP is to make live bets during the race.
