Warriors vs Lakers: LA to overcome LeBron injury KO

Tip-off: 0330, 28/02/2020

Stadium: Chase Center

TV: Sky Sports

The Warriors and the Lakers are at opposite ends of the NBA’s Western Conference, with Golden State rock bottom and 32 wins behind the table toppers.

Los Angeles have prevailed in both previous meetings this term and there is little evidence to suggest they won’t come out on top again at Chase Center.

However, with LeBron James absent, we’re just going for a routine away success by 6-10 points at 16/5 for our initial Warriors vs Lakers prediction.

A Look At Golden State Warriors’ Betting Odds

Golden State slipped to a seventh straight home loss when beaten 112-94 by Sacramento earlier this week.

After trailing by 11 at the end of the first quarter, the Warriors did show some spirit to reduce the deficit to four in the third period.

However, the Kings kicked clear again down the closing stretch, with the home team ending up with a poor 4-28 in terms of three-point attempts.

“The beginning of the game put us in the hole,” Marquese Chriss told ESPN, after posting a respectable 21 points on a personal level.

“It’s hard to fight upstream for 48 minutes. We need to have a better start.”

With Stephen Curry not scheduled to return from injury until Sunday, though, Golden State could again struggle to find their rhythm early on.

Looking at the Warriors vs Lakers odds, we like 87/100 for under 57.5 points to have been scored in total at the end of the first quarter.

A Look At Los Angeles Lakers’ Betting Odds

Los Angeles are four wins clear of Denver in the Western Conference after a 118-109 home triumph over New Orleans made it six straight victories.

James was clearly keen to put rookie sensation Zion Williamson in his place when posting a season-high 40 points and eight rebounds versus the Pelicans.

Anthony Davis was another to shine against his former team, with 21 points, 14 rebounds and six blocked shots.

However, James will rest a groin problem at Chase Center and there is also a slight question mark over Davis, due to a sore elbow.

The Lakers should still have enough strength in depth to grind out a 25th away win of the campaign, with only five defeats suffered on the road this term.

We just feel this contest may struggle to hit the heights of some past encounters, though, so 83/100 for under 223.5 points to be scored completes our Warriors vs Lakers betting tips.
