League of Legends: Best bets from the LCS and LEC

The League of Legends Championship Series and European Championship continues this weekend with week eight games scheduled.

Bwin have a range of E-Sports markets available and we have picked out three top bets from Saturday’s action across the two competitions.

League of Legends Championship Series

Team Solo Mid (8-6) to beat Golden Guardians (6-8) @ 7/25

Golden Guardians lost to TSM earlier in the spring split and I think we can expect the same outcome.

With their only big win of the split coming against a very poor Team Liquid in week three, it’s fair to say this team hasn’t really grown and I wouldn’t expect much from them.

TSM, though, are a team on the up as they look to secure a top-three finish. I can imagine this game will be a priority for them as it should be a chance for a good win.

Cloud 9 (13-1) to beat 100 Thieves (7-7) @ 1/5

After being handed their first loss last weekend by a very strong looking TSM side, C9 will be hoping to continue the performances that have kept them at the top of the standings for so long.

Following their loss, they bounced back well against GGS and will look to keep going. 100T had their first 2-0 week and will be hoping to keep their good run of form going as they head towards the spring play-offs.

A win here would be a big deal for them and go a long way to securing that play-off spot.

Team Liquid (6-8) to beat Evil Geniuses (7-7) @ 57/100

After a poor showing last weekend and Doublelift being added back into the ADC position, Liquid will be hoping this will give their split the jump-start it so desperately needs. With such an expensively-assembled super team, anything other than the play-offs would have to be considered a failure.

Following another week of practising with Broxah, they’ll hope for a return to form.

Evil Geniuses had a strong showing last weekend, taking down Flyquest and then having a convincing victory over last-placed team CLG so they’ll be hoping to keep their momentum.

League of Legends European Championship

Schalke 04 (3-11) to beat Vitality (1-13) @ 1/2

A bit of a dogfight at the bottom of the table kicks off day two of Week 8. Honestly, I don’t see this game being anything other than a S04 victory.

VIT have looked sloppy at the best of times this split and even when they’re ahead they don’t necessarily know how to convert.

Alongside this, Selfie’s return to the LEC stage last weekend was very underwhelming and I don’t think the extra week of practice will do much for their decision making.

S04, on the other hand, have put in place some solid building blocks for the summer and I expect them to take another win.

Misfits Gaming (9-5) to beat MAD Lions (8-6) @ 3/5

With both teams having easy games on Friday (SK and S04) respectively, this will be a game that will be key for the play-off deciders.

This will come down to whether MSF can accelerate the early game fast enough and look to end before MAD’s late game decision-making and scaling can kick in to carry them over the line.

MSF’s average game time is a whole three minutes shorter that MAD right now and this could be the difference maker. When they met earlier in the split, MSF took that game.

Fnatic (10-4) to beat Rogue (9-5) @ 9/25

Rogue have a tough weekend ahead as after playing G2 on day one they will then face FNC on day two.

Coming into this, FNC will likely be riding high on confidence having beaten RGE the first time these two teams faced off and they’ll be most likely coming off a victory against XL.

Playing the top two teams back to back may be a step too far for RGE as in all the important stats, FNC just seem to edge them out.
