Artur Beterbiev is a hot favourite to successfully defend his IBF and WBC light-heavyweight titles against Marcus Browne in Montreal.
Browne is a worthy mandatory challenger with a 24-1 record but Beterbiev is expected to extend his 100 per cent pro record with a 17th straight win.

Beterbiev enjoyed an outstanding amateur career, winning the 2009 World Championships in between two European title triumphs for Russia.
After losing to Oleksandr Usyk at the 2012 Olympics in London, he moved to Montreal to begin a new career in the paid ranks.
In just his 12th pro fight, Beterbiev wore down Germany’s Enrico Kolling in a one-sided encounter before stopping him in the 12th round to claim the vacant IBF crown.
British champion Callum Johnson managed to floor Beterbiev in the second round but was knocked out in the fourth in an action-packed encounter before Radivoje Kalajdzic was brushed aside in five.
Beterbiev then added the WBC belt to his CV with a 10th-round stoppage of Oleksandr Gvozdyk of the Ukraine and defended both titles with a late win over Germany’s Adam Deines.
After four world title fights in America and one in Russia, the 36-year-old is looking forward to putting on a show in his adopted home city.
He said: “It’s been a dream of mine to defend my titles in front of the fans who have supported me my entire pro career. I look forward to retaining them in dominant fashion.”

Browne lost in the first round of the London Olympics as a youngster but quickly made a good impression as a pro, rattling off wins on the undercards of some major bouts.
Otis Griffin, George Blades, Thomas Williams and former WBA champion Gabriel Campillo were decent scalps.
Browne really established himself when easily outpointing former two-weight world title holder Badou Jack in January 2019 but then suffered his sole defeat seven months later.

Browne was just behind on the judges’ scorecards and had almost two years off before returning with a low-key triumph in April.
Now 31, he declared: “This is the moment in my life that I’ve been waiting for and I’m ready to take advantage of it.
“Beterbiev is the most avoided champion out there. He’s a great fighter, doesn’t make a lot of mistakes and is super strong.
“But I’m the better fighter and I’m here to show that. No controversial losses, no distractions, just straight work.”
