St Louis have been hugely impressive in two big wins over the past few days and can maintain the momentum by seeing off Winnipeg on home ice.
The Jets do lead the Blues 2-1 in this season’s head-to-head series but Dave Lowry’s side have just been blowing hot and cold of late.
We’re taking 2.05 for the hosts to prevail in regular time in the first of our St Louis Blues vs Winnipeg Jets predictions.

St Louis Blues Odds
St Louis stormed to a 6-2 win over the New York Rangers here on Thursday and then romped to a 7-4 success at Nashville last night.
Robert Thomas bagged a brace in the first of those victories and had two goals and two assists against the Predators.
A couple of late empty-netters may have led to a slightly flattering scoreline at Bridgestone Arena, but that was still a fine effort in a crucial contest.
Thomas declared: “We’ve had two big wins to get back on track and this is a huge divisional game.”
Blues coach Craig Berube was particularly pleased with how his team began that game, leading 3-0 early on versus opponents who are noted for starting strongly at home.
Looking at the NHL odds, we like 2.5 for St Louis to again be ahead after the opening 20 minutes here.
Winnipeg Jets Odds
Winnipeg are 4-4-2 over their past 10 matches and that sums up how their hopes of making the playoffs have been hampered by inconsistency.
The Jets have had cracking wins over Montreal and Tampa Bay but are six points off a wild card spot after some disappointing defeats.
Friday’s 5-2 road loss against the New York Islanders saw Winnipeg outbattled from a physical standpoint.
Kyle Connor and Blake Wheeler scored to continue their good form, but defenseman Josh Morrissey admitted: “They won a few battles in front and got rewarded for it.”
Interim coach Lowry will look for a response from the Jets but we just fear they are meeting St Louis at the wrong time.
Let’s finish off our NHL predictions by taking 3.6 for a home win in regular time and both teams to score more than once, plus 18.5 for a 4-2 scoreline.
