Arena: Rogers Place

Edmonton have had a series of tight tussles with Vancouver this season but found a way to win all three of their previous encounters.

The Oilers will be hoping home advantage can help them to complete the clean sweep tonight and set things up nicely for the playoffs.

We’re taking 6.75 for the hosts to oblige by exactly two goals in our Edmonton Oilers vs Vancouver Canucks predictions.

Edmonton Oilers Odds

Edmonton improved this month’s record to 10-2-1 when shading San Jose 5-4 in overtime at this venue last night.

The Oilers weren’t at their best, but Zach Hyman struck the decider 1:37 into the extra section to make it six wins in seven outings.

Having trailed 2-0 with just over three minutes played, Jay Woodcroft was relieved to come out on top.

“We found a way to win,” he said. “We obviously didn’t start the way we wanted to start, but credit to our players.

“On a night where everything wasn’t firing on all cylinders, they found a way to win.”

Leon Draisaitl has tied his career high in points with 110, so the German will be eyeing a landmark score here.

Let’s take 8.5 for him to break the deadlock from the NHL odds for this game.

Vancouver Canucks Odds

Vancouver are coming off a couple of home victories themselves, beating Seattle 5-2 on Tuesday before a 3-2 overtime win over Los Angeles last night.

The Canucks trailed the Kings 2-0 after two periods but battled back to give coach Bruce Boudreau his 599th regular-season success.

Brock Boeser bagged a brace, including the decider, and declared: “It still meant a lot to us and just to show what our team is capable of.

“I talk about it a lot, but it’s pretty amazing where we are right now compared to where we were at the beginning of the year.

“I think we all talk about that a lot and take a lot of pride in that.”

Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes have been in fine form, but JT Miller may be the Vancouver player to watch out for here.

The 29-year-old is on 98 points for the season and would no doubt love to make it a century.

Miller can be backed at 2.55 to achieve that feat by posting over 1.5 points and that is added to our NHL predictions.
